You guys inspire me...
« on: March 20, 2007, 01:56:40 PM »
Ok, after reading a post on here about using or not using grips, I decided to try punching a ball without grips. I must say, personally, I feel the fitment is a tad better, but that could be because I don't really replace my grips as they wear down. Also, most importantly, the one biggest difference I noticed is just the over all feel. What I mean by that is when I throw the ball, the second I release it, I know if it's money or not. WIth plugs, I don't get that same sensitivity. I may be alone on that one, but that's the biggest difference I noticed...

I got my second 900 last week while pre-bowling. NOW, prove that I didn't do it!

I may do this in the future, but right now I feel just fine throwing with grips. As for the second reason why for you, I know a ball is money or not usually when I see it hit the arrows on a sport shot, or right after I let go on a house shot.

I personally didnt like the feeling of no grip fingertip at all. Felt like the ball was falling off of my hand most of the time and I felt like I had to death grip the ball just to get rotation. Actually just today I had an oval fingertip put in my ball cause my ring finger is getting a bruise on the back of the fingernail...so yea. lol

Just remember, it's crucial to get your pitches correct, since you don't have the soft rubber to give you some margin for error.  Though I'm guessing you would have noticed any problems, being that your fingers would hurt.

Yeah I kinda planned for that, I had my drill kick out the pitch by 1/16... Just alittle, but it feels fine
