Yeah dude, it looks like a wash... There have only been 3 bidders on it... The first one has 3 feedbacks and the other two have 0... Probably just the seller running it up, besides, guys like us passing it around on message boards makes for good advertising.

I have bought several balls from that seller at reasonable to  cheap prices so i don't think it's them jacking the price. But i agree the "0" feedback would worry me about the buyer

Jesus christ quit b!tching about this.....it takes time and packaging to ship a bowling ball.  I am 15 minutes from the UPS store...so it is a 30 minute round trip.

It did take a nasty turn with the disgust over shipping quotes.

However, one must factor shipping into the entire transaction.  If you're stiff and rigid over a $53.00 winning auction bid and $24.99 shipping, and the next auction goes for $78 with free shipping, there's not much difference.  Besides, if you have to quibble over a couple of bucks for a ball that should help you win infinitely more money in pot games and brackets, what's the point?

THAT SYSTEM, example  e****r, for user names in ebay is a way to keep your name private when bidding, so others do not know you are bidding on something.  but it still looks like a scam to me.

Now that you have all speculated and have given your 2¢ from the seller being a crook to the buyer being stupid, let me pass on some "real" knowledge...

1. The seller is not bidding on the ball
2. This is not the first time the buyer has gone into a bidding war for a ball

The buyer is laughing at us because the US dollar is so weak that we think $500 dollars is alot.

I have bought a few balls off of that seller on Ebay. They did a great job, and there were far from any signs of them trying to hike up the price. Either a deadbeat buyer, or that buyer really wants the ball!
