Your greatest bowling accomplishment?
« on: July 30, 2009, 04:48:34 AM »
Lol here's one that will get a million replies . .  Whether you've won a PBA title, or regional, or even if your only accomplishment so far is a 300 on a house shot, I'm curious what people on this site have accomplished.  Doesn't have to be a score, it could be a tournament win, could be a nice few game set, could be mastering a certain look, could be beating a pro, could be successfully figuring out a seemingly impossible shot, what have you.  Or maybe you have more than one that you're proud of, list them all.  As for me . .

I have a 200+ average with both hands.

I've cashed in EVERY SINGLE tournament I've bowled in that has a format of 10 games or more, and I'm talking 25-30 of them.

Proud youth moments:
Finishing 1st in my last YABA IL State singles tournament with a 644 scratch series.
Finishing 1st on 2 other teams that same weekend. Major Boys and Major Mixed teams. Shot 614 with the boys and 642 with the mixed.

Theres several other 1st-3rd place finishes I have but too many to list, can get a photo of the trophies. Not that anyone cares.

Adult accomplishments:

Finished 1st in a GreatLakes Tournament Series. This tournament ran every weekend for 2 years. Recently folded about 10 months ago.

Finished with my highest 3rd with other top 5's, and multipul semi-finals when I was a member of the Chicagoland ABT Masters Division.

My most happier moment is being able to bowl with my father on wednesday nights and my G/F and her parents on sunday nights during the winter months.

No real honor scores and basically don't care for em either.

Bowling an 800 series is always an accomplishment. If the criteria for accomplishment is something that's never been done, we would rarely accomplish anything.

We're talking about personal accomplishments, which means different things to different people. So, tc300, what's YOUR accomplishment? Go ahead. Tell us. We'll try not to criticize you...

Wow, this is an awesome topic cause a couple come to mind that I will always have in my memory.

1) My last year on the All Navy Hawaii Team competing in the All Military tournament, last day of the tournament during team event, coming out of the gate to shoot 227 in Game 1, Game 2 start with 10 pin spare off the sheet 290, then last game firing off a 300 for my first 800 series and first 300 on the islands.

2) Winning my first Regional title and becoming the first 2 handed bowler to do so.

3) Beating Andrew Cain in the 1996 Arizona State Coca Cola Championships in the championship match to make it out to Nationals.
