Your slump busters
« on: May 07, 2009, 05:37:28 PM »
Hey all,

I've been in a huge slump the past month. Timing issues(too early), footwork issues (too fast), release problems(don't even get me started...), swing plane problems(looping it in the backswing), the whole works. My coach says I've got the game and that everything is just all in my head but I can still only throw that perfect shot off my hands about only 1/4 of the time.

What are your suggestions for me or what do you guys do to get your game back on track?

Many thanks,

Jared

RELAX and quit trying so hard. Free up everything, move closer to friction if needed, and just let the ball react instead of trying to make it react.

If all else fails... see above?

I always go back to basics. My game sometimes mutates over the course of a few months (maybe my speed creeps up, or hand, etc). Think back to whatever it is that makes your game - or the one or two things you have to do well to make a good shot. Then hit the practice lanes.
