I haven't seen one of these yet, but if they're not USBC approved why are you drilling them?  --  JohnP

Because not everyone bowls in Sanctioned Leagues so why wouldn't you?

The only Zoom I've ever seen was used in a non-sanctioned league.  It has a light that blinks as it travels down the lanes, but I don't know how that effects the performance.  Probably just because it has to have either a battery, or a mechanism of some type that generates the small electric current to the light, that gets it disqualified.  And, according to the sales info, the Zooms are pre-drilled.

The Planet X balls are sold at like K-Mart and come Pre-Drilled. The reason they do not conform is because they are not submitted for approval and have no markings of Pin, CG or anything on weights other then the gross weight.

The Zooms, and Magnums are sold out of the places they are sold from because they are basicly just plastic 2nds. We had a few come in that have cracked in half and there is no pancake flip puck and the filler is like a foam.
