I am surprised no one has reviewed this ball yet. Another innovative core design from Mo. Drilled this ball for a customer with a PAP 5 3/4 x 0. Layout was pin 4" from PAP and mass bias at 6", no balance hole. He took it out to bowl in league on a basic Christmas tree house pattern, 32 feet of oil, buffed to 36 feet. Ball got down the lane very nicely and made a smooth hard arc to the pocket. His set was 256, 251, 224 - 731. Needless to say he was very satifsfied.
Also drilled one for a full roller, who is really an overturned 3/4. Pin at 3 3/8 from negative axis point and mass bias outside ring finger, no hole. Ball was used on house wall condition, area to the right of 10 and hold, lots of hold, inside. Ball was very smooth unless it got to the dry to quick, then it jumped high. Overall, very good reaction. This bowler also has has a Colossus and a Minotaur, each of which gives him just enough of a different reaction. Looking forward to the next one, Mo.

Mo did it again! Got a Pioneer from Mo last Thursday during a demo with himself and Del Warren. Mo said I have minimal flare, about 10 degrees of axis tilt. Drilled a Pioneer 15 lbs, 3" pin with a 5 1/4 x 6" drilling. Pin next to middle finger, negative weighed with a small balance hole to even out. More of a wet/dry drilling. Ball has a smooth controllable reaction, gets down the lane very very well, hits the break point and makes a hard but not drastic turn to the pocket. Ball throws pins around like never before for me, first ball with it the head pin took out the 7-10 by itself. Throwing it about 18mph (at the pins) was able to play between 2nd-3rd arrow, put to about 5 and watched the ball come back and destroy pins. If I would have shot spares instead of reracking, I probably would have shot 750 (unless my spare shooting skills showed up, then about 650). Ball still has factory finish, might tinker with it after a few games. So far, the ball gets an 11 out of 10. Unbelievable carry, hitting power, and ability to read the lanes. cant wait to throw this one again! Thanks Mo, you are the MAN!

Follow up on the Pioneer......it still rocks! Have been using this ball almost every time I bowl now and it still continues to wow me every time it hits the pins. Was struggling with my game before picking this up from Mo himself, wanna say it is drilled 5 1/4 x 6 (not exactly sure, should be in first review), to conquer the wet/dry at our house. I have benn playing between 2-3rd arrow out to about 5 at the breakpoint then smash once it hits the pins. I havent had a game under 200 with this ball since Halloween! Used it in my sport league last tuesday and went 202 240 first two games before I started to lose my shot part way through the 3rd game and went to my DC Warlock (also known as "Jesus" in my house). Throwing it about 17-18mph probably putting 350-400 revs on it, ball clears the heads extremely well, gets into a solid roll, then once it hits the breakpoint continues to roll, hook and hit like anything else in the house. Havent needed much in the ways of messengers lately though cause I have been crushing the pocket non-stop lately. Shot 699-640-621 last three weeks in league with it (spare shooting getting better I will say though). The 699 got me third place in the ol Ballreviews Handicap tourney which was nice. If it wasnt for a pocket 7-10 I might have shot 300 that night, but its alright, I will take 266 anyday (unless my opponent shoots 267+) Even thinking about picking up another one with a different drilling to see what other damage I could do with this ball.

Another interesting reaction from a MoRich ball that it took me a while to get used to but once I did, I absolutely loved it.

I drilled it using the "sharp breakpoint" drilling on the sheet as a ball for when the lanes dry up and I got exactly what I wanted. You can see the ball's core turn over hard. The ball flips very similar to my grape TiBoss II but unilke the TiBoss this ball doesn't make a dead left turn. It stays on course.

I noticed with all of my Morich balls that regardless of drilling, pin position, mass bais position, or cover... They all have a very smooth overall hook with a very easy-to-read breakpoint and they all read the lane extremely well. The Pioneer is no exception.

My first few games with the Pioneer I tried swinging it to the dry thinking that a pearl reactive with a sharp breakpoint drilling would move a lot on the backend in sort of a skid-snap motion because that's what I got used to with Columbia but to my surprise the ball didn't finish.

At first I was really dissapointed but I later realized that I could actually take this ball and throw it straight up in the worn out track area (with slightly higher than average speed of course) and absolutely have no worries about the ball jumping high at the back! None!

How many times have you thrown a ball that looked great and was perfectly on line at 50 feet but it just jumped on the last 10 feet and you were left shaking your head? That won't happen with this ball. The overall hook of the ball is so smooth and the length is so phenomenal that I actually have more success with the Pioneer when I think of it as a regular urethane ball instead of a reactive.

To sum up on yet another great MoRich Ball:
- No skid/snap reaction. Very even, smooth, and predictable roll
- Very impressive length
- Very impressive carry
- Not a ball for heavier oil as it'll go too long
- On most medium conditions I think the Labyrinth is a better ball but once it gets too slow for the Labyrinth the Pioneer comes in as the relief pitcher and does a great job.

I got this ball for Christmas from my wife. It's my control ball. I use it when I can't quite get my more powerful stuff to stop going over/under on a second shift shot.

Ball spec's 16 lb 3 3/4 pin 3 1/4 TW
PAP at 5 3/8 3/4 up
Drilled ball with pin at 4 1/2 behind the ring finger and RC just on the strong side of the thumb. (I did not follow the drill sheet this time)

The ball has an incredibly strong arch to the pocket playing 12 to 8. I can't rev this one up as much because of the high RG so I play it up the boards more. The ball goes long in the heads and then makes a strong arch to the pocket. Carry is good, almost hits too hard with no deflection in the pocket. I leave quite a few single 8's and 9's with this ball. Normally an arching ball leaves me corners.

I have not had any really big games (lots of 220+) or disasters (185-) on nights when I used the Pioneer. Overall it stays in the "A" bag for control. If I was only going to carry one ball, this might be it. Good ball at $160 drilled, I'll win my fair share of sidepot's with this one. If I was going to drill another it would be a 15# to take care of the single 8's & 9's.

I've had this ball for a couple months, and it has been a good ball so far. I really haven't been able to bowl at a house where the shot match up with the ball. But when i have thrown the ball is has worked well. This ball is drilled with the pin directly under the finger holes, and the Cg right below the thumb. I can figure out why but I haven't been able to make this ball flare a lot. I think this ball will work on a medium pattern and probably a heavy short oil shot with nice backends. This ball has also worked on a heavier oil shot, but when you play straiter up the lane it loses it nice length but gets the job done. I really like the reaction when you swing the ball, it gets down the lane very nice and then it's able to turn the corner very nicely without jumping when it reaches the break point. Overall i would give this ball a 9 out if 10 only because it hasn't been thrown on the right conditions yet. Another great ball from Morich.

I threw a friend of mines pioneer and with every ball i threw i got goose bumps with his ball and not a drilled ball for my style i shot 650 with it. Begged my wife and now have my own I have adjusted the cover as i like a snap at the end and have a satin finish on it. a balance hole and agressive drill within a month of having this ball i shot my highest game of 286 and series of 702 and picked up the big 4... When i struggle this is the go to ball just traded an hph for a hercules so i am ready for more fun

I got this ball for the really dry conditions that are encountered every so often. It works great on that condition. It also works well on the normal heavy inside, dry outside house shot. It allows me to square up and play straight up 5 board, which is where the lanes are incredibly dry.

On dry lanes there is no guessing with this ball, I know exactly what it is going to do----LONG and very angular. It has good impact at the pins, but does leave the occasional flat 10------this is more because of the weak drill pattern than the ball itself.

Very good on the condition it was drilled for. The only ball I have thrown that is better on dry conditions is the Lane 1 XXXL.

8/10 for this ball. I do not see it being very versatile even if the drill pattern were different.

i recently got one of these used with just a few games on it. Wanted it
because of the core. Could this ball be used for medium league conditons? I was wondering if I will need to dull this thing a bit to use it that way.

I just got one of these bad boys drilled and i threw it in my league and i have never seen a mid-price ball hit as hard as i does, i just asked my friend in the pro shop what is a good ball medium to light oil and all he uses is MoRich and he told me to get the Pioneer so I did and it hits like a mack truck i love this ball.

I drilled this one up with the pin 4 1/2 inches from my PAP and the Mass Bias is 5 3/8 inches from my PAP. The Pin is above my VAL 2 inches.

I laid this ball for Skid/Flip. I threw the ball on a fresh oil house shot. I was able to throw the ball on a straight target line down the lane to about 40 feet and then ball would make a strong arcing motion to the pocket. I was able to move outside and play the straight up the lane with good punch to the pocket.

The Mo Rich Pioneer would be a great ball for drier lane condition for faster ball speeds. If you have lower ball speed, you should be able to use the ball on Medium Oil Lane Conditions.

Had my buddy Beans drill this one up too. Got this ball from Doug Sterner. I just threw it tonight on slightly used lanes( only 1 league bowled on it as far as i know). Pin in ring finger and Thumb kicked left of the MB. Ball rolls great and then just makes a nice controllable move to the pocket and hits just as hard as my Minotaur. Another winner drilled by my buddy Beans. I am starting on getting sold on some of the Morich balls. Great company from the 2 balls i own.
