Awesome Hook or BVP Mammoth
« on: December 27, 2006, 11:57:00 AM »
I'm trying to find a good ball for heavy oil and long sport shots. I've been researching the BVP Mammoth, and it looks like it may fit the bill. However, I've also been suggested to look at the Awesome Hook from MoRich. I've never thrown Mo before, though I've wanted to.

Can anyone share their experience with the Awesome Hook on a long sport pattern? Any comparisons are greatly welcome!

Thanks a lot everyone!

Now that I think about it, maybe I should back out of buying the Mean Machine and go with both the Seek and Destroy and Weapon of Mass Bias. What do you guys think?

I never took credit for it, just repeated it and honestly don't remember where I heard it from. Seeing how you like to pick on everything I say, go ahead. I am not here to fight, and if you want to be childish and poke fun all the time, go ahead! I have too many worries in life than to worry about someone criticizing me every other post.

Who's picking on "everything" you say?  If it were the case, I'd been in your azz a 'very long' time ago.  In any event, it appears I'm not the only one that has repeatedly found fault in your info, therefore I do not stand alone.  I (and I don't speak for others because they can do so on their own) find it relatively difficult to understand why you would have so many, of the same ball drilled (if I recall, asking you about the 10 GP2's you had at the time).  Also, I question the competence of your drilling skills, as the norm for your reply to the majority seeking layout help doesn't go beyond 'cover difference'.

I don't know you.  Therefore I haven't an issue with you personally.  However, I along with others who are fairly knowledgeable can read thru your BS.  Perhaps if you tried adding some humility instead of seeking what I deem as 'attention and/or popularity' contests, you'd learn a great deal.

I wish you well in your future endeavors.  Just look before you leap ...

Man, did clint sleep w/your wife or something?  Chill out, you say you're not the only one who feels like you do, yet you don't wanna speak for others.  What are you talking about?  You've been the only one in this thread w/that attitude & opinion.  And you did nitpick his car tire response, that's clear.  I guess clint having a lot of balls hurts your feelings or something.  It's proven that his customers are happy w/him, and will miss his presence in the shop.  He doesn't know anything, yet he's endorsed by Del Warren and Mo Pinel, 2 of the ball geniuses in the industry.  I guess fairly knowledgable people like Del and Mo can't read through his "BS".  Are you mad b/c clint left track to go to morich? It's okay, w/some therapy and breathing exercises you'll cope.

And if I were clint, I'd feel uncomfortable if you wanted to be "in my azz a long time ago." lol

Both of them handle more oil than the MM IMO and both of them are more controlled IMO. The closest ball to the MM in the Morich line is probally the Awsome Revs but, there are still differences. Maybe Clint can follow up on this a bit further.

Bingo!!!!!! We have a winner! I would 100% agree with you. With the exception of my Ravage, I rather have my Absolute inferno in my hands on a THS than my Flip, Sahara, or Revs. Now, give me alot harder shot, flatter condition, or something tricked up, you would not be able to pry a Morich out of my hands! I 100% agree they are PERFECTLY tailored to tough shots where some ball companys seem to tailor most of their stuff to THS.

The Seek and WMB are both solid particles, where as the MM is a reactive pearl. The Seek and WMB will both start earlier, where thre MM will have more continuation on the backend.

If you want a couple of balls to fill out your arsenal, the WMB and Seek may not be the best 2 to buy. To have a more rounded aresnal, you may want to look at the Seek and Awesome Revs. The Revs has lots of continuation down lane and the Seek will pick up earlier in a flood when the Revs will skate.

I agree. He wants a ball for heavier and for Sport shots. These will be perfect. BTW, BTM gave the highest rating I have ever "seen" for sport conditions to the Awsome Revs (8.5,8,8). From throwing the Revs, I belive it 100%! The Seek fits perfectly on top of the Revs also!
