How should I drill the Ntense?
« on: November 01, 2009, 02:04:11 AM »
Hey, I picked up an Ntense from someone off here, and I was curious how to drill it. I have a LevRG which has just been a superb ball despite many claims against it. I found I just really match up with the EZ REV core. My LevRG is a fairly strong ball, and I'm assuming the Ntense is even stronger right?

My LevRG is layed out with pin above the bridge. My pap changes when I throw Morich. My track dropped significantly versus when I throw a weak assymetric like the Supernova XP. So I'm guessing my LevRG is layed out with a 3.5-4" pin to pap distance. I would like the Ntense to be earlier and smoother than the LevRG. I know Morich is very drill specific. But would putting the pin under the bridge at the same distance be effective? That's what I would do for normal equipment but I'm just getting used to laying out Mo's pieces so I'm not sure if that would work.

If anyone has drilled one up, let me know how yours rolls. Or if anyone has thrown both the LevRG and the Ntense, please comment! Thanks...

I would drill it to have some length it is a very strong ball, the second best ball in the MoRich LevRG line,

If you have this piece setup to go early it will hook in your back swing gotta get it to go down the lane before it rolls, Make sure you have alot of juice for this ball also, otherwise it will not work as advertised.

So if I drilled it the same as my LevRG, would it be earlier and smoother by nature? Or wouldn't there be enough separation without adjusting the surface?

Hard for me to answer my LevRG's, when I had them, were not drilled very close to my Ntense.

The Ntense by nature with the particle in its coverstock will be earlier and smoother than the original LevRG, but a very strong ball as well

I hope the Nsane LevRg is the first.  You simply cannot beat a particle pearl ball on extreme wet/dry conditions.

LevRG is first!!! I have never had a ball that rolls as well as that ball. I'm hoping the Ntense follows suit because the LevRG is just sick. Too much for house shots but on pba and sport patterns, I've never had a ball that gives me that much room. I'm excited about the Ntense and Solid I have waiting to be drilled if they roll anything like the original.

I just got a used Ntense to
was going to have it drill with midlane hook layout 2

I need it be my oil ball but I thinking if I drill it
sharp breakpoint might burn up  as I have a Levrg shined
thats works ok but its drilled sharp break layout 1 I don't won't have
2 balls do same thing plus don't have that much oil in
my area unless bowl on the shark.
sorry long but my proshop guy is good at fitting a ball
but on Morich stuff when asking about a dual thumb drill
is not his thing

my other question is, this used ball has a dual drill on it
I need to move thumb about 3/8 wider span if I just
do that and try it, would that make a big difference
that way just have to pay for a new thumb hole without filling
the dual thumbhole or what is it called a weighthole.

also what surface works best on a Ntense just want get some ideas
thanks Rex

any info appreciated

I don't think your track is changing. It is the ball is spinning up before it touchs the lane, thats why you don't want to use a high flaring ball when checking your PAP.

I have seen some of my stronger cored stuff fo this to me. It looks like it dropped and inch.

Not to hyjack this thread but has anyone else ever RICO'd a Morich ball (or any other assymetrical)? How did that look to you?

I was was under the impression that the RICO drill increased the diff and assymetry of symmetrical balls to make them behave like a assymetrical ball... RICOs reduce the flip to control dry backends with increased continuation correct?

No response on here req'd. A message will do from the drillers in the audience.
