Mayhem
« on: July 12, 2004, 02:51:59 AM »
Hello all I usually use brunswick balls and my entire arsenal is made up of Big B. But I recently got my hands on a mayhem and I was thinking of using it this fall as my heavy oil particle. Then my arsenal would match up like this:

1. Mayhem heavy oil particle
2. Ultimate Inferno heavy oil reactive
3. Inferno med reactive
4. polished warp zone med particle
5. danger zone 5 lighter oil
6. blazing inferno lighter oil

What are you morich guys thoughts on this ball? Also I'm considering a ravage to replace my original Inferno. Any comments would really help

DZ,
This is tuff to comment on, because you don't list your rev-rate, or overall ball speed inyour profile. I haven't thrown the Mayhem yet, but I have many friends who throw them, and I've seen them used on lite oil to medium heavy oil. My first impression of the ball was that it was an oiler. But after watching a very skillful buddy of mine throw a sanded Mayhem in a tournament recently and shoot 241 and 219 for the first two games, I had to change my opinion of this piece. He was shooting on a dryish condition, which I had to use pearls on! Go figure.

If you throw fairly slow speed, say 14-15 mph, then yeah, you could probably get away with using this on medium hvy oil. I guess it all stems on whether you can complete consistent shot-making. Personally, I have a Hercules that I can use on medium hvy oil, but that's because of the way I throw my ball. TO me these MoRich balls come with built-in Hook. They take off like Energizer Bunnies when you add a little hand to them. So a Mayhem for me is like, wayyy too much ball.....but it just might fit your game, perfectly.
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

Jesse thanks for the response. I am a med rev tweener with speeds at about 16.5 mph(via qubica scorers). I think that this will be my flood ball as I use a semi polished Ultimate for med/heavy now. This should be what I'm looking for
