Morich made in mexico
« on: February 24, 2010, 06:42:15 AM »
I forgot Brunswick moved its plant to mexico until my new mojave showed up and I seen the made in Mexico sticker on the ball. I drilled the ball with MB outside the thumb on the left side (left hander) I then here my drill laugh as he drilled right into the pin on left of the thumb hole and he also told me the CG was also mis-marked. This is why I don't throw Brunswick and will be the last Morich ball I purchase.

Why did he laugh about drilling into the MB? Depending on the pitch of the thumb he/you do know they are going to meet eventually since they are going in the same general area of the ball right? (towards the center) That would be his mistake not the bowling companies, not that it is really an issue by any means.

Was the cg mis-marked or there more then one? Sometimes there may be a few different little pit marks that look like the cg and you then have to use the scale and box suggested pin to cg distance to make sure it is correct.

I have had it happen with several different companies including Morich and Brunswick. If the ball was some how damaged, had wrong logos or some other defect I could understand your complaints but most of this sounds like the person drilling the ball is just being a D#$K trying to make you feel bad about a purchase.

Did you buy the ball from him or somewhere else? (may explain a lot) Maybe post some pics of the ball as well.

…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

So are you amish? Cause I am pretty sure you have alot of stuff in your house that has not been made in the US possibly even a car. What difference does it make if the bowling ball isnt made in the US?

I also have heard Storm stuff being miss marked 900 G and Ebonite being miss marked, they are called blems and it happens alot... if they are made in the country or in Mexico.

How can a MB be mis-marked?

There's the million dollar question!

It's just bad luck guys. I've purposely bought 4 Brunswick blems in my life. Two were color blems, one was label blem and one was an "I'm not sure why it's a blem" blem. They all rolled outstanding. I did have one SLIGHT issue with a BigB 1st quality where the pin on the ball was unsmooth as if it were badly plugged. That is all though and just wanted to add my 2 cents.

Post a picture of it.

The MB is marked the same as the pin and protrudes to the surface of the ball and you can visible see it. It is then trimmed down to be flush with the balls surface.

So how did the ball roll that you hate so much?

The MB (or PSA) on all MoRich Balls starting with the Frenzy are accurately marked.  They are spun on a determinator and marked after it has been located.  As for the CG and Pin I don't know what to tell ya...

Bowler851, the only 2 points that have any bearing on the outcome of an Asymmetric is the Pin & Mb placement, the Cg does not play a part till after drilling the Finger's & Thumb, then for legal balancing, a weight hole is placed in the ball. The only time a Mis-marked Cg means anything is on a Symmetric cored ball.

Check what this guy is running in the Brunswick Forum. Talking like Big B is the only company to miss mark a bowling ball.
