New to Morich (i know what took me so long...)
« on: June 23, 2006, 07:17:10 AM »
Well finally tried Morich (S&D and AF)... WOW! incredibly dynamic ball motions...

Am I reading Mo's Awesome Hook chart from another post here... this ball looks like it offers more continuation than the TS&A. Am I reading that right? The AF I have drilled Assymetric Flip most continuation it's my deep inside line ball after the long oil opens up or forces me left... and the S&D drilled Std Assymetrical Strong Arc for the fresh long patterns. Best 1-2 punch (SD - AF) on long sport shot so far for me. Are the covers as durable as Dynos? They seem pretty absorbant... but do they die out? These two drills are middle of the road... Ideas on 2 more ball choices for medium and short sport patterns... I can play outside 5 board and inside the 25 board with some minor to moderate release adjustments...

I am fairly close to 195 on the 42 foot light volume sport shot past 3 weeks using Morich... Missed using them on medium... I am pretty sure they won't work on short but will try... WTH, it's a Summer League!

Got a used Weapon of Mass Bias of Ebay.  Perfect ball, installed finger grips, added Switch Grip thumb, now just gotta go throw it.  I never have thrown a MoRich ball before.  Stay tuned.....

Now that they're using Activator and variations of it, they should be pretty long lasting.

Who manufactures the ball and what the ball is made of are different things entirely Jeff (eg. Dyno still uses Storm base resins but Columbia pours). If the base resin for Morich is the same as what B uses in Activator, than I am impressed... I also tried a Passion and a Paradigm and I like them too... so maybe I just have an assymetrical fetish going on here

I don't know whether my humble opinion agrees or disagrees with Drrevs. I do know this though......I like MoRich more....now that he's gone to Big B covers, than when he had covers by Columbia.

Now, having said that, I do own a Herc which I love! But it definitely requires attention and cleaning upkeep on a regular basis, or you WILL SEE a drop-off in hitting power.

I have also talked with several pro-shop drillers, who have said that some of Mo's particle pieces, will lose effectiveness after awhile. I have seen it happen with some friends of mine's Hercs and also the Seek and Destroy. But...and this is a big but......as we all should know......particle pieces require an extra amount of care and cleaning attention anyway!!

Nuff said. Covers probably don't die.....they just appear to die....due to operator ineptitude.

I have had no other cover problems with any of my other MoRich pieces.

The Big B covers are great.  Alot of companies are coming out with super agressive covers and with how strong the vanguards or even the ravage cores are its not really necessary.  The activator is fairly mild and really allows the vanguard to shine, and even the pk18 balls work pretty well, although sanded a la the TS&A, S&D, and TA these are pure heavy oil balls, with the proper drilling and surface prep they are very versitile.  Overall it was a great move for morich.
