PREMIUM???? Coverstock using in LevRg
« on: January 13, 2008, 03:28:52 PM »
Can anybody tell me what exactly the coverstock using in the LevRg.

It seems like the "High Octane Coverstock" using in the Brunswick's FURY. I just throw 15-20 games and the ball absorb much much oil and became very shiny. And it began to loss the action and just skid and skid. I also bought a FURY before and got the same result. I feel very disappointed with today's bowling ball technology. Just 20 games, from a high performance bowling ball turn to a plastic like spare ball, and need to rejuvenate. It waste time and money. And also, it's not environmental.

Why did you let it become shiny? That's an "oil shine". You should clean it to prevent that from happening. Every oiler, dull balls used to handle a lot of oil, will do that to some extent, sooner or later. The more you bowl, the more you bowl on heavy oil, the higher your rev rate, the quicker it will lose reaction. Clean the darned thing after each use, BEFORE you put it in the bag. Don't be lazy. It's your money. Either that or buy a new ball every 50 games.

I could recommend balls that balls that absorb oil more slowly, but that wouldn't help you. All balls need to be cleaned after each use.  The better you take care of your equipment, the better it will perform. It's a simple as that.

Some balls, I dont care how good you clean and maintain them, are just going to die quickly. I have never had that problem with Morich/brunswick covers though.

I TOTALLY AGREE with Slopsurprise, YES, I did clean the ball every time when i finished the games. BUT, it seems this ball die too quickly. I have had many success time with Morich's ball, but not this time.

Anybody can tell the truth, and not just saying "it just the bowler's own fault, the bowling company never made bad ball!!!!!!"

My LevRg also tends to self-polish/get shiny but the reaction doesn't change much. I wipe the ball before each shot and clean after each set and it looks oob after cleaning it. I'm very happy with this ball.

Every LevRG I have seen around here, including the one I have and the one I used to have went to shiney side. Mine in 30 games. I contacted MoRich and they did not respond, so I put on the spinner and took it 180, 360, 500 and then to 1000 which I use it at. That brought the reaction back to where I want it. Although the ball never died, the hazing did drastically change my reaction to severe over under. One night I started with front 10 and had one double the rest of the nite. I clean mine after every match, but it still gets hazed and oil soaked very quickly. Then at 30 games it gets a tune up. Baked and start at 180 Abralon. It's a lot of work, but worth it if you want maximum performance. Hopefully the Nsane won't be like that!!!

Still the best one-two punch in MHO....

cmore If I were you I would take the oil out then go 1k abralon to freshen it up. You will take alot of the surface off in a short amount of time if you start at 180 and work up everytime. Maybe do that after 100 games or so. Just hate to see someone take the label and serial number off and not be able to use it as long as they should.

86camaroman..........

1. You are not me!

2. Taking the surface off the ball 'was' the whole point. Just hitting it with 1000 did not fix the problem. Neither did just baking it.....

3. Why would I wait until 100 games to tune up my ball when it needs it after every 30?

3. Ball has less than 120 games and has been in the Revivor at least 4 times..

4. It is every LevRG around here, not just mine! Mine is a beast fresh, just needs constant care and I fine with that!!!!!

Do you even own a LevRG? If not pick another forum!!

You did stay at a Holiday Inn last night though, right!!

I think he actually does have it and the Nsane. I think he talked about it before but I see what hes saying about the sanding is that your taking more surface off by going threw those steps. I don't know really cause I have not ran across the problem due to me never using my levrg because I need to redrill it, but getting that done with in a week or so when my pro sect comes in!
