Hello,
Requesting your opinions. Which would be a better ball choice for Medium oiled synthetic lanes with somewhat spotty backends? Style of bowler, Stroker/Tweener avg 15-16mph speed and avg revs.
I know the Rampage has a Pearlized PK18 coverstock, but I'm unsure about the Sahara coverstock. I do prefer the Morich cores over the Brunswick though.

Sahara cover is the Punisher coverstock

im a morich guy myself but id consider, the shock n awe, in a controlled drill or a 3/8 drill

I strongly suspect that the Rampage's PK18 should handle enough more oil than the Sahara's N'Control coverstock to show a slight preference for it.

Some thoughts on the matter in general:
However, whether the Rampage can handle medium oiled synthetic is problematic, without well above average revs and a strong drilling. That is, on today's TRUE medium oil and synthetic lanes, like Brunswick's AnvilLane surface , 95% of people will need a solid resin, a particle pearl or a polished particle. True medium is a lot more oil, in general, that people think.

I was just looking for something to play down and in or when my stronger stuff is too strong for the conditions and aren't carrying as well.
Something after my TS&Awe, S&A, Hybrid Dirty Bomb and H2O. I never have luck with true dry lane balls or strong balls drilled weak. Just trying to pick something a step down from my H2O. Basically looking for an excuse to try a new ball I guess.

I believe that the H2O is not a strong ball; that is, it's more for medium-light oil (to just shy of true medium) patterns for average releases, AS IS the Rampage. I suspect they'll cover similar oil patterns/amounts, but maybe in a different way.

Therefore, the Punisher or its MoRich equivalent, the Sahara, should be that step down for you.
