Was this ball a major flop or something? I don't see many reviews for it, and it looks like it's on closeout on a couple of online shops.

I might pick one up since it's relatively inexpensive (cheaper than some used balls!) to have a ball with a solid cover (I've got a couple of pearls) to give me a different look.

I have one. Even drilled strong, it's fairly tame. Great control ball. I've found it better on shorter patterns like 36-37'. Longer, and it just keeps going. For the price you can get them now, you can't beat it. I'd say go for it. I think I've seen them NIB on here for 59 shipped.

I drilled for a forward roll and found it to have a very strong backend on medium oil: 6" pin to PAP (over the middle finger) and MB in the thumb hole. Used it both P4000 grit matte and polished. It's good for medium oil with the 4000 matte finish, polish making kind of flippy. pretty good benchmark solid. Wish I'd used a larger VAL angle.

A guy I know who is a good bowler that has about 375 revs and 18 mph speed has one and for him with a strong drill around 4 1/2 higher above fingers the ball is a great ball on a med-heavy conditon. Lots of carry power with a strong arc flip reaction for him.

Lately my home house who normally doesn't sell many balls has been getting a bunch of Solid Levrg's and Nsane's. Everyone of them they hav drilled has been quite impressive pieces. They seem to carry very good and have a fairly controlled reaction. For the price there is no reason not to try them.

Caution though on how the are drilled, they can be pretty sensitive for some, from wha I have heard.

Good ball.  Just because it isn't the biggest hook monster out there some think it has no value.  Great control ball.

Good ball for lighter mediums to mediums.  I keep mine at 2000 abralon with Snake Oil over.  Retains energy better for me that way and hits very well.

I have mine drilled "Double Thumb", pin over bridge and second Charlest with his assessment. Great THS ball.

Wasn't supposed to be a hook-monster, more of a control ball or THS ball.

That's why you dont' see a lot of reviews, bowlers are shallow, all they want is hook.  Who cares about 'control' ...

I suspect the backend of this ball, like a lot of balls, can be very dependent on your ball speed, with firmer ball speeds seeing less backend and more control and slower ball speeds seeing more backend and hitting power. Mine being medium to mediim-slow, I saw a strong backend.

Tilt and rotation have their effect on any given ball's backend amountalso.

+1. This ball was designed for control, and for THS/medium to light condition use. PK18 solid coverstock, a sheen surface, and a (for Morich standards) mild core that prevents over-reaction. If I had had to recommend a Morich ball last year, it would have been the Solid LevRG.

But with its dark blue color it had IMO little shelf appeal, and with its "mild" core numbers also relatively little arguments on its side. But, nevertheless, I personally rate this ball very high, esp. among the other Morich orbs.
