Trying Morich Balls
« on: January 21, 2009, 08:17:05 AM »
I have never owned or thrown a Morich ball. Since I am moving down to 14lb. stuff (tore my biceps tendon completely off) I am going to try some Morich equipment. I have an Awesome Flip and a NSane LevRG sitting in boxes in my garage, ready to go to the driller.

For years, I have used Ebonite and Brunswick with a few Hammers.  Ebonite (old stuff) seems to fit my game better)

Any advice for me or for the driller?

Just have your driller use the Morich drill sheet. Using your PAP is a must. By the way, the Awesome Flip is a great ball. I have mine drilled for the sharp breakpoint setup and it is a great ball.

I just made the same choice. I picked up n'sane and solid Levrg blems for not much the other day. Went pin 3 1/2 inches and mb 4 inches from pap with 1 /1/4 pin buffer on the nsane and same pin to pap distance on the solid with mb 5 from pap in the thumb. Great 1-2 punch with the solid smoother and a little weaker. The n'sane tears up a house shot and is very usable on the Kegel challenge patterns in my other leauge. All i can say is I WANT MORE!!! Just have to pay my shop bill first though

As always...MAKE SURE your driller knows your game, and make sure he's familiar with Morich/Asymmetrical balls ...it's been preached here forever, ....

You can't just PUNCH a Morich and expect it to work ....

p.s. The control drill ROCKS!  Dont' let the word control fool you, ...it WILL MOVE ...but in a controlled fashion.  I have a Hercules this way that I can use on 95% of the stuff I used to see just by changing the surface!  NICE NICE drill!

Jeff nails it my Flip, Finish and one Nsane is drilled for control and they all dominate on multiple conditons.

Also these HIT hard! Harder than just about anything out their They devesate pins, hit so hard you can hear the difference

Since dropping to 14# I've picked up a Shock & Awe.  Tonight, I'll be punching up a Solid LevRG for more of a benchmark ball.

I have in 15# - a low mileage Archon, Ravage, WMB, and Shock & Awe in my closet.  Shot my only sanctioned 300 with the Ravage, so that ball isn't going anywhere fast.
