Motiv 2 Cruel Review
« on: June 22, 2012, 03:37:50 PM »
I threw the new 2 Cruel and all I can say is WOW.
Definitely one of the most hooking balls I have ever thrown with an incredible look on a fresh house pattern. I do not hook the ball a ton but this thing made me look like a monster. I was standing dead left as if I were shooting at a 10 pin targeting about 22 and hooking the entire lane. The impressive part was how strong the ball hit when it entered the pocket, no deflection at all, and from that angle that is unusual. Another impressive thing about this ball is that it gets down the lane with ease but at about 40 feet transitions left at an incredible angle and almost looks as though it gains speed and momentum through the pins.
All I can say is that if your looking for something for a heavier oil pattern and you love Motiv, look no further.

The pin is directly above the bridge, mass bias roughly 1 1/2 inches right of thumb with no balance hole. I have thrown almost every Motiv ball over the last year and a half and this is by far the strongest. I would say the closest thing in ball reaction would be a Nexxus p+r but the Cruel gets down the lane a bit further with much more change in direction down lane.
