Motiv Cruel C51 at 500 grit
« on: November 18, 2010, 01:42:21 AM »
I bought this ball with the intentions of making it handle a flood of oil and "OH BOY"" did I get it.  The surface was played with until it became stronger than my Storm Invasion, which is at 1000 grit with the pin up over the ring finger and MB kicked out 2 inches.  The Motiv Cruel C51 ball was taken down to 500 grit and it is drilled with the pin under the ring finger and MB kicked out 3 inches with a P4 hole.  The appearance of the ball at 500 grit looks polish but it's not.  When the ball gets to it's break point it really turns the corner and drives through the pins.  With this surface you can get maybe one full game on a freshly pair of oil lanes.  I was standing on 30 shooting over 17 at the arrows and the break point was at 5.  The ball would travel very smoothly down the lane until it came off the spot and again it came back screaming.  I left two, nine pins yesterday because the ball did not deflect off the pins just to give ya'll an idea of how strong it really is.  I normally throw the ball around 16-18.5 mph depending on how deep I get on the lanes and I have a lot of hand.  People would label me as a power cranker, but I was told I'm a power stroker.  So in all, the engine that exists in this ball is officially being put down on the lanes...lol !!!

FYI in box finish this ball is IMHO is more suited for lanes closely oil for medium conditions than it is medium/heavy, but most definitely stronger than medium conditions slightly.

How does the rest of your league team do when you use the ball with this surface?

It definitely open the shot up for low reving players and they began to score better in the second game.

People would label you a power cranker but you've been told you are a power stroker?

How is that possible?  They are on two opposite sides of the spectrum.  It is hard to mistake one for the other.

People who do not have much knowledge about different bowling styles would assumed, a person who can put a lot of revs on a ball must be a cranker and the ones who have the knowledge about different bowling styles would call me a power stroker.
