motiv I am impressed
« on: August 30, 2011, 11:55:29 AM »
I now have 2 motiv balls the raptor which i dont have enough oil for. This ball is drilled pin above bridge and mb kicked right of the thumb by 3 inches with a weight hole placed right of the mb. This ball is an absolute monster hooks a ton hits hard if i could only keep it right of the head pin. I also have a primal drilled stacked over the ring. This ball is so clean in the front and picks up nicly in the midlane and then takes off on the backend. This ball isnt a skid snap it is more of a candy cane shape. It is a very readable reaction with excellent carry. First series being a bit rusty happy with my 608 and first series with the primal. Thank you motiv cant wait to throw my cruel le next week when it comes in.

I would agree with you, if you need something as a stepdown the Backdraft is a great ball from them also.  The Cruel has a very good read also, or if you can look into the Cruel LE.  Glad to hear that you are having success with the Motiv brand

I am glad to hear that you're happy with your Motiv gear and having success! Raptor is a great piece but needs sufficient volume as you know firsthand.

For the L.E. I would recommend stacking the Mass Bias closer to your thumbhole. You can keep the pin above the bridge, but only put the MB 1.5-2" right of your thumb.

The reason being the Cruel's dynamics have a lot more differential and the intermediate differential is the same as the Raptor. If you do the same layout that is on your Raptor you risk the ball revving up too early and quitting down lane b/c it will be spent.

I really think you'll like the Cruel L.E., you have some really solid pieces in your bag right now!

just got my cruel le today it is drilled pin above ring and mb is about an inch from my thumb is looks great jkaiser u are awsome and will deal with again cant wait tho throw this ball. Threw the raptor and primal lastnight higher volume of oil and my lanes where playing diff still shot 188 average but struggled 3rd game had a 397 after two but 3rd game was hitting carrydown and the primal squirted a little and the raptor was threw the nose. I am so impressed with motiv will be carrying all motiv soon. Also love the fact they are a michigan ball maker and doing a great job.
