Trident Quest WWRD 10/12/17
« on: September 04, 2017, 12:56:39 PM »
• Performance:   Medium-Heavy Oil
• Weight   Range:   14#   - 16#
• Inner   Core:   Turbulentâ„¢
• Cover   stock:   Hexionâ„¢   Reactive – NEW!
• Finish:   5000   Grit   LSP
• 15#   RG:   2.49 Max   Diff:   .054   Int.   Diff:   .017
• Ball Color:   Dk   Purple   Pearl/Blue   Pearl
• NeoMarkâ„¢:    Silver   Pearl/Purple   Pearl
KEY   SELLING   POINTS
• The   Trident   Quest   by   Motiv®   is   the
culmination   of   extensive   cover   stock
research   conducted   to   create   a   violent
and   angular   response   to   friction.      Perfectly   tuned   for medium-heavy   oil   conditions,   the
asymmetric   pearl   Trident   Quest   is   a   remarkably   aggressive   ball.
• The   asymmetric   Turbulentâ„¢   weight   block   is   at   the   center   of   the   Trident   Quest.      While   other
weight   blocks   were   tested,   this   Turbulentâ„¢   design   proves   to   be   the most   versatile   with   drillings
and   demonstrates   impressive   agility   at   the   backend   of   the   lane.
• But   what   really   sets   the   new   Trident   Quest   performance   apart   is   new   Hexionâ„¢   Reactive   cover
stock.      It   represents   the   latest   technology   from   Motiv®.      This   fast   response   skid-flip   shell   slips
easily   through   the   front   of   the   lane   to   deliver   an   incredibly   violent   backend   snap.
• The   Trident   Quest   is   tuned   at   the   factory   for   medium-heavy   oil   with   a   5000   Grit   LSP   finish,   but
the   dark   purple   and   blue   pearl   cover   can   easily   be   scuffed   to   provide   traction   in   heavier   volumes

An asymmetrical pearl from Motiv? One that's intended to have it's strength on the backend and not sanded like the original Jackal? Hmm... This could be pretty interesting.

Sounds like it could replace the Remix. I sure hope so.

That was my first thought, but then I see the promotional language say medium-heavy.  That's no top row, but then again I don't recall seeing an asym in anything but the top row.  Will be interesting to see how this all shakes out

If I remember correctly, the Cruel C51 LE was a medium heavy pearl asym.

Yes indeed.  That was before I got into bowling.  But then it occurred to me that the Raptor Attack was as well.  So not unprecedented, just not recently.

Still, are they going to do their patented 'shifting of the bowling balls';  move balls one spot left.  I can't see the united suddenly being the early hook ball on that row.  Is it possible the Primal fear goes away?  is it a good seller?

I do see a lot of Primal Fears in my area, seems to be popular.

if they list the United as anything other than delayed/angular/late, they have zero credibility.  ;D

From what I've seen of the Primal Fears, they're not as "wow" as the Rage was. It doesn't look like it's spectacular on the lane. But are the remixes still selling well?

I feel like I've seen more of the United than the Primal Fear and to me there isn't a big need for the Primal Fear especially when you add the Quest.

I feel they are going to replace the Remix. The Fear has been selling well and the United is still one of their latest releases. Between the two I like my Primal Fear better, cleaner and more angular than the United.

I'm really excited about the Quest. I should have the ball soon for review!

I have had 2 United's and couldn't get comfortable with either one. Just bought a Ghost and I love it. My Forza GT may never leave my bag.

If the Trident Quest replaces the Remix, I already told my wife I am getting one.

You kind of sound like me.  I've thrown a United on a couple occasions and it just isn't "it" for me.  But I dig my Ghost and I love the GT.  If I didn't have a Gold Revolt, I'd probably be in line for the Quest.  As it is, I'll probably take my time.
