Brian, there is plenty of hook at 66. I have bowled 3 times. First set in January was using a Nexus just left of the track with a little swing. Shot 220-218-188 or so. Came out ahead in brackets. Somewhere in the 30s.
Bowled twice this weekend, shot a wonderful 550 in the morning, 0 in brackets, and 620s second set doubled my money in brackets (226-217-177) made it through 22 of 30.
The morning I was trying to play a similar line to the first time but ball was really jumpy. Everything we all had on our pair was going sideways on the back end. Tried using a Reax (too much for me), a Sigma Tour, was going dead left, Ascent Pearl, too weak, Wicked Seiged, again went sideways, Got too far left, had no recovery and carry, got too far right was 4-9 or through the face. On lanes 13-14.
The afternoon, dad mentioned to try and "burn a spot around 7".. Well I was the only one out there, as everyone moved in after like 4 practice balls (we were on the high end pair by ourselves.) Just used a Pink Ascent with a long pin, kept the speed up and had a decent look as long as I got it off my hand clean. If I tugged it, it was a frozen rope to the 1-3. A really bad tug carried brooklyn. No one else had 600 on our second set. Everything else I tried from out went sideways as well. I was standing around 10-12 looking at about 2-4.. We were on 55-56.
Have not bowled singles and doubles yet. Hear the shot is a lot easier. Applied with a Brunswick machine.
Team had tons of brackets both Scratch and Handicap. Mystery game was around 250-450 depending on the squads. Don't know how much high games were paying, but 66 was only paying 2 games for team?
66 has Twisters and they act like you think Twisters would. Nottkes has crappy Linds' pins.
