Memorial Weekend
« on: May 24, 2010, 05:37:14 AM »
Does anyone know of anything going on in the va/md/pa area this weekend on Saturday or Sunday?  I haven't heard of anything at all and was looking for something to bowl.  Thanks for any info!

There is also a 12 game marathon on Sunday night, usually starts at midnight at Pinboys at the Beach in VA Beach.   The cost is usually $55 and there are brackets and high game pots available.  They also serve breakfast during the tournament.

The tournament at VA Beach.........is this an annual tournament? If so, what type of entry count do they usually get for this event?

Mike... there is a doubles tourney at ABC West on Sunday at 10. Pretty sure it is 50 per team and starts at 10am. Not to far off I-81 about 30-40 mins past Chambersburg. I think they had about 30 teams 2 weeks ago.

We won the last one and were done around 2pm. It is a good ran tourney and gets decent side action and could get more with more teams that want side action.

Excellent.  I'm hoping to make an appearance, but who knows as I have a prior commitment on Sunday... hopefully can get this moved...

Good Luck to all bowling!

23 teams for the last one. I just wish more local guys would show up. Same guys who bowl over the winter patting themselves on the back for all their accomplishments cant show up to bowl the doubles tourneys over the summer when its on the same fluff.....

Rant done. I'll be there....

Good turnout this weekend at the doubles tourney. Close to 30 teams. Not sure who ended up winning, but good to see it go up from tourney #1. I stunk, but there were definitely some numbers being shot.
