Bowlingball.com on Ebay

Has anyone dealt with them? They have auctions with some good prices but they don't list pins, top weights or anything else.

Yes I have dealt with them, but not recently.  The stuff they offer that has "good" prices on it is usually discontinued/closeout equipment and they often times are unable to do a satisfactory job getting close to pin outs or top  weights.

You may not agree, but I'm pretty sure there is a better range to choose from when ordering a 16lb. ball from them compared to a 15lb. ball.

I have dealt with them and actually put a post on here. I gave them an 8 on a scale of 1-10. I had ordered a wrist support (EAGLE) and they sent me the wrong one (COBRA). But after getting ahold of customer service, Mike, they were very helpful. He sent the correct one before I had even sent the other one back and also included a shipping label and postage to cover the cost of the return shipping. He was very helpful and was most apologetic about the whole thing.

I got my 4th ball from them a couple days ago.  Pin and TW were just as I requested. Only been off 1 time and it was really close to what I wanted then.

I have bought 3 balls from them in the last 2years.  All of them were right on the specs I requested.  As their terms state, they don't garantee the top weight and pin placements but they do try hard to give you your request.

I've also purchased 3 balls from them over the last several months and requested the pinout and top weight at checkout with good results.  Two of them were spot on and a third one was a 1/2 inch off on the pin, all top weights were good to my specs so I've been very happy using them.

We sell all types of items on ebay. We currently do not list the top and pin because our inventory is currently well over 50,000 bowling balls. If a eBayer wins a ball from bowlingball.com auctions they may request pin and top weight at checkout. If we have it we will fill it. We cannot guarantee pin and top on some balls because we have the last of that particular type and weight.

IF IT IS A NEW RELEASE WE WILL HONOR ALL TOP AND PIN REQUESTS.

When in doubt you may visit our web site, where we DO guarantee top and pin requests.

Keith and his staff is awesome.  ordered many items and
equipment from them, with no problems whatsoever.  only
thing i wish they had was local pickup, since i live only
25 miles from them.

I would have to disagree with you. I have had an  issue I have been trying to clear up with them and cant seem to get an answer.

I did get a message from Keith, here, to send all the info to him and he would look into.

This is what I received and where I sent the info. "I am fairly new on how to use ball reviews venue. It appears that I received two emails entitled forum response but our system doesn't permit html. It asks me to click a link. You may email me directly at support@bowlingball.com with any comments."

I did that, didnt hear any thing for 3 weeks, so sent another e mail with all the info, with Attention KEITH at top of e mail.

After about 10 days I got a email that said "Your email has been escalated to a Customer Support Manager and will be
answered as quickly as possible." , THIS WAS back on Oct. 3 rd. nothing yet .

Really dont know what is wrong, but will keep trying to clear up.

Overall, they do what they say.  If you order something current they will try to meet your specs.  If you get a blem or a second you generally get some unbelievable balls.  Some of them are so bizarre they should be categorized as thirds.  They don't give you much of a break on shipping for multiple items.  They deliver very quickly.  They send you a UPS tracking number when they ship.  You have a better chance of getting your specs met with 16 lb equipment than 15 lb, but that's becoming pretty standard.  I think I've purchased 8-10 items from them over the last couple of years including a half dozen bowling balls.  The only real negative comment I would make would be about their shipping costs for multiple items purchased via eBay.  It cost me 50-60 bucks for shipping two bowling balls and a pair of shoes.  Granted the price for the items was low but it was no "deal".  The blem wouldn't make a good boat anchor.  The plastic ball was good and so were the shoes, but with the shipping prices I figure I paid a pretty normal price.
