K & K Bowling supply Las Vegas NV.
« on: April 18, 2006, 02:53:39 AM »
Possibly the worst shop I've ever used (Notice I didn't say pro shop).

I Didn't want to post this message just to bad mouth or get back at a company that I feel screwed me over as much as I would like to warn other out of towners
before they get screwed as well by the incredibily sloppy workmanship.

Also, maybe someone from K & K who might be on this websight might want to respond to the conclusion I have drawn.

People say you shouldn't answer a letter the same day it makes you mad wellI also try not to critize right away either, but after several visits to K & K a few weeks ago I've drawn four conclusions.

1.) They don't know how to measure a hand for bowling.
2.) They don't know how to operate their equipment.
3.) It was their first time drilling a ball...ever.
4.) They intentionally wanted to screw me up.

And since even I have trouble with the first three Only one conclusion can be drawn

This sounds like a recent employee who got canned, this is my pro shop and i can vouch for exact accuracy on over 150 plus bowling balls. Trust me people this guy is just ex employee or some idiot from another Las Vegas shop!!!

Pm me your name and why did you not call Ken up to discuss your problems???  I know you will not pm or call Ken because it takes Kuhona's to do this and you dont have any. Btw tell me what shop is better in Vegas??? Oh a casino pro shop hahahaha gimme a break i will have my stuff drilled out of town before i go to the time clock punchers at the other casino run pro shop's.

mrbowlingnut:

Thanks for responding, Who's Ken, actually I kind of know who he is but don't know how to contact him.

Not ex employee, just discouraged customer, frankly I don't know much about
shops in Las Vegas or Nevada and have always had trouble with most casino shops anyway, that's why I went to you guy's in the first place, although I did have some good results from a guy at the Gold Coast last year but don't remember his name.

Hope to discuss this with you further

I to can vouge for K&K - they actually fixed my span problems and I have been satisfied with all 4 balls that they have drilled.

Ken Keegan is the owner of K&K (they recently opened a second location as well). I have talked to Phil Platko (one of the very good bowlers in Vegas) the last couple of times I have been there and have been very happy with the drilling layouts.

Btw one of the guys from gold coast named Sakae is Ken's main driller now, i have forwarded this problem to them to fix for you. I am sorry to accuse you of being a few disgruntled ex employees, they as you would expect do not like K & K owner from being let go for sub par work.

sspeckma,
I wish you would have brought this issue to our attention.  We are one of the largest pro shops (yes, we are pros at what we do) in the country.  We actually make a living doing what we do, which is rare in this industry.  We stand behind our work 100%.  What I have heard is that you came in with 4 balls that were all drilled differently (I wonder why you haven't complained about your regular guy?).  You have an extreme tapered thumb and you are a shrinker.  I will admit this is a very tough situation, but I don't think we deserve to be chopped up when you never once told us there was a problem.  We deserve better than you slandering us.  The facts are that you came to bowl a major tournament and decided to change your grip.  We regularly drill balls from some of the best bowlers in the country and none of them would do that.  The fact that you would term us as one the "worst" shops you have been in makes me question your judgement.  We understand that we cannot make everyone happy.  It is not possible.  How would you feel is someone tried to affect your paycheck by slandering you without you having the chance to defend yourself?  This is not a very classy thing that you are doing!

I am an avid bowler in the Las Vegas area, and let me reiterate some of the things Ken Keegan (owner) of K & K said.  It is impossible to make everyone happy REGARDLESS of the service or services provided.  I have been a K&K customer for several years now; I used to live in Hawaii, and even when I was there, Ken and Phil would BEND OVER BACKWARDS to ensure my satisfaction.  If there was ever a problem with any of their products, and I mean ANY, they would make sure that the customer was satisfied with their resolution, or they would provide a refund.  I personally think it was a very narrow-minded decision to make such a libelous (libel vs slander, since the accusation was written vs oral) statement based on one transaction with said individual/company.  I also think it was very shallow of you to not present all the facts, i.e., changing your grip just prior to a major tournament (DUH)!  It is totally unfair for you to come to a forum as broad as this with such a petty complaint, especially without offering the proprieter an opportunity to make things right.  These guys have built a SOLID reputation not only here in Las Vegas, but WORLDWIDE!  I can personally vouch for this, because I am in the military and travel and bowl worldwide.  There are people in countries that you probably didn't even know existed that are satisfied customers of K & K.  So in short, please ensure that you have all the facts and do everything in YOUR power to resolve issues before trying to ruin someone elses reputation! (Rant off)

After reading this post it occurs to me that you might be one of the most moronic people that has ever bowled in the city of Las Vegas or even the United States.  I have a few questions for you to answer for the rest of us about the slander you have posted against K and K bowling services.  So let's examine your post piece by piece:

Your Post:1.) They don't know how to measure a hand for bowling.
My Question:  Do you know how to measure someone hand?  By stating this it would make me assume that you have mastered the art of fitting a persons hand for a bowling ball, and if you have why are you going to a pro shop in Las Vegas.  What makes you qualified to assess the fit that the professionals at K and K measured you hand at?  Just because your from the middle of no where in Colorado or some other miniscule town in the country and have bowled for a few years in some leagues and tournaments doesn't mean that you know how to fit someone hand.

Your Post:2.) They don't know how to operate their equipment.
My Question:  Did you physically sit at K and K while they were drilling your balls and see them read the instruction manuals for there drill presses and a book about how to drill a bowling ball as they drilled your ball?  Since K and K has been in business for five years and all of there employees have been in the pro shop industry for at least 5 years and up 20 years I highly doubt that they don't know how to use their equipment.  I mean I don't tell you that you don't know how to pick up a john when your on the street corner of your city.

Your Post:3.) It was their first time drilling a ball...ever.
My Question:  Just read the question from #2, once again combined the pro shop has over 50 years of experience.

Your Post:4.) They intentionally wanted to screw me up.
My Question:  So your telling me that employees of one of the most respected and profitable pro shops in the nation, who have never met you before, decided they wanted you to bowl terrible from the moment your walked in the door and messed up your equipment due to this?  That might be an even crazier conspiracy theory then an alien from Mars killed Kennedy from outer space and framed Lee Harvey Oswald with the crime.  You might actually be a more screwed up person than myself.  If anyone has ever known the employees of K and K, they would know that this was blasphemy.

K and K Bowling Services is one of the most respected and successful pro shops in the nation and has customers from all over the globe.  I have been a customer of them for the past year and can tell you that they are the best at what they do.
