Desperado and Epicenter
« on: June 10, 2009, 09:43:58 AM »
I've been given the task of teasing the audience by the "Master Teaser"(Ryan)
the information at this time is limited, basically he's giving me enough rope to hang myself with. The pics you are seeing are the colors of the coming releases, the core numbers are medium rg with a medium rg diff, and a med inter. diff no numbers to be released at this time, as this could change before they actually go into production. The proposed release date is still unavailable hoping for mid July, due to plant production scheduling. As you know there are several other balls coming out being made in S.A. this will effect the timing of all releases, enouf said here are the pics!!!!!

Pre-orders will be taken as soon as I have a price structure from the "Master Teaser"

Took a vew videos while bowling tonight... struck 16 out of my first 19 shots.  Here are a few of them!

The condition was "medium" is best I could describe..  I threw a few shots with the Solaris during practice and a few didn't quite get back... we had no opposition tonight so fancied throwing a few of our test balls!

Rev, I will get a video of the Desperado up asap, but as this is designed specifically for shorter patterns we want to make a video on this condition to show how it performs in context!

Cheers

So is the Epicenter a "version" of the Awakening?
I say that because the Awakening was a very medium pearl resin ball also.

The Epicenter is a very good looking ball.

Charlest,

Not at all... the Epicenter core is BRAND NEW, designed by SEISMIC, and cannot or has not been used by any other company.  The Coverstock is a strong pearl, a sligtly modified version of the Solaris cover.  Overall strength is a little more than the original Solaris but with a different roll and shape.

The core has "medium" numbers because we believe that length and reaction shape can be dictated by core numbers rather than just cover strength.  The medium differential allows the ball to get down the lane easy without loosing much energy before the strong pearl cover grips the back end.

Hope that helps!

Ryan

I would like to try some Seismic stuff but I really dont know where to put one in the line up right now! My AZO stuff kinda covers everything right now. Maybe an Experiment ball sometime in the near future.

Ah! That should make it different.

Looking forward to seeing just what that core shape is.

I really looking foward to these releases! I just punched a Solaris a few weeks back and can't put in down! Drilled it up 55 X 4" X 30 with double thumb weight hole. Ball rolls better than ever expected....

We've been working on and finalising some video footage that will be shown at our booth during Bowl Expo, including the Desperado...I'm sure we'll get this footage uploaded once we return from Las Vegas.

The Desperado is still under our testing stage, so we will be finalising figures shortly. I've been testing this ball on some of our drier league conditions and on shots to the outside boards of the lane on those short tournament patterns. Carry from this ball has been nothing less than anything you would come to expect of a top line reactive.

Images of our new Insignia core will also be appearing at Bowl Expo, so a reminder to all Seismic followers to call by our booth and see all the new releases! If you can't be at Bowl Expo, don't worry we'll be getting all information out to everyone as soon as we can.

I've been waiting a very long time for companies to finally come out with a good urethane ball! now it seems after an eternity it's finally starting up.my bowling nemesis has always been dryer shots and dry lane resin bowling balls, the covers are to strong and cores are to weak.my favorite cores have always been asymmetric, don't know why since I have a heavy hand but in general I've always bowled good with asymmetric stuff.now to find out your Desperado is a urethane/asymmetric core ball sounds like a GOD SEND to me,count me in!
