Radical Slant, Initial impression
« on: April 04, 2011, 01:39:33 AM »
ok so I picked up a radical slant, with thoughts of punching it then decided to put it on the shelf and try to move it, well its such a pretty orb that I jumped in today since I needed to be in the shop for our local fun fest tourney. After doing a couple pair of grips and talking to some potential customers, I said what the heck and punched it

went to Mo's dual angle sheets and decided to go with late break point drilling for a medium tracker, IE 80 x 3 x 45 (not something Ive done in the past)

ball started life as 15# 3 oz 4" pin and 3.25 top

so laid it out (see pictures) and put a hole in the p2.5 spot (after i threw a game) ball was border line legal anyway

so after thowing the game came in put the hole in and back out

initial impressions are this is a great rolling ball, threw it on our house shot, it was fresh as they had oiled as I came in today, what I saw was a nice hard revving ball that made the turn with ease, took to hand changes easy, as well as speed and rev changes by myself on the pair went 232-242-239 clean for a nice 713 set, ball hits hard, moves well and carrys nicely, and looks good rolling oh and the 713 was with the lights off and the black lights on lol

ball doesnt have tons of recovery but will come back if you miss 3-4 boards right and holds the line pretty well in the mids felt at home hammering this ball as well as taking something off of it good start for radical
