RevolutionBowling Balls

Did this company stop making bowling balls?  Seems their website is down now.

The revolutionbowling.com site has been a mess for some time, lately you have been linked to Brunswick when you tried to neter it. As far as I know, they still seem to put out ball, e g. with Inferno cores, but I have no clue where to find an online catalogue or so. They only seem to distribute in Asia (Korea?), so I guess they will only have a national website there, probably not in English.

thanks for the replies,   I did google the info but jsut could not find any info of what im looking for.  I got a used Revoluionist Bowling ball and had it redrilled for my finger size and etc.  Just wanted to get more info on it.

FWIW, I used some older Revolution models, ones created when Revolution first tried to get into the American market in 2000: the Renegade and the Vengeance. In fact, I just stockpiled 2 NIBs, one of each. Both have strong coverstocks (I think their both a notch stronger than PK 18, but Brunswick had no idea what they actaully are). Both come with high RG's and low RG differential.

The amazing part is the coverstock is over 1" thick, compared to the current standard Brunswick covers of about 5/8" - 3/4" thick. Both hit like freight trains. Renegade is blue solid resin, while Engeance is green pearl with visible mica chips.

I actually still have a NIB Rebel ECX in the closet.  Same core as the Time Zone, but the PSA marker is on the opposite side of the pin than the CG, and the ellipse is parallel to the locator line rather than perpendicular.

I'll put holes in it as soon as I figure out how I want to drill it.

I didn't know Revolutions ever sold balls in the US. I thought the only way to get them was through the PBA.

If you use 16 lb balls, amazingly, they're still available. Joe @ Allstar still has a couple of Renegades and Vengeances. They're short pins, but these balls only have .030 and .037 max RG differential anyway. They're not for coast to coast bowling, just for scoring.

They're hardly any left elsehwere; they used to show up once in awhile on EBay but i have seen any in a long, long time. FYI Joe is almost giving them away.

The revolution line was a technology or brand for Brunswick...like Quantum.

I liked many of their balls.  I had some wonderful success with the Rebel ECX and frankly have the drill sheet!  Danny Wiseman had more success!

I'm about 99% sure that Revolution was the overseas (from the US) marketing arm of Brunswick, PRIOR TO 2000 and the intro of the Renegade and the Vengeance, their first two balls developed for use within the 48 states.

Only the Brunswick/Revolution (used to be) reps can comment on the validity of that. I know there were a bunch of ECX models before the Revolution brand name was discontinued.

Charlest...yep...you are right...it's coming back to me now.

I had the Ncontrol Powerstock version of the ECX...Awesome..

I used it on light dryer to almost heaviest oil.

It was the second best ball I ever owned and the MOST versatile.

A bunch of others come out with different covers...same core...then Revolution was gone!

the rebel ecx was and still is one of my favorite balls of all times, seemed like every week i was winnig pot games in league, I know one year alone i kept track of them at won over 1k @ 25-30 a time

hit like a train carried everything and was one of the most durable dependable balls i ever thru.  A guy on current league carries two of them.  Between the ecx and the command zone purple pearl, i was in heaven
