Too Many Ball Companies??
« on: August 20, 2006, 03:25:56 AM »
Do you think its time for some ball companies to start folding all together?  I keep hearing that some ball companies are struggling to make it and are giving away stuff so that they can get it into peoples hands.

Well if you think about it Columbia, Track, Circle, Dynothane, and AMF are all made by Columbia 300.  Storm and Roto Grip are made by the same company, and Ebonite and Hammer are also made by the same company.  I believe that Brunswick also produces the Lane 1 balls. If you look at it from that perspective really alot of the companies have already started to combine

I don't see why any company would fold, unless they truly aren't making any money.  However like stated before me, most of the smaller companies are actually just run by bigger companies anyways, so that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yes Columbia is taking over the world....now hopefull they can make some new stuff that mimicks their old stuff which ruled the world back in the day

Take me back to the mid 90's, when Columbia 300 was the RAGE, Ebonite was slangin' dem WOLF tickets, Brunswick had ATTITUDE, and El Nino was in the eye of the STORM.

They have in the past, but the latest word is that C300 is going to be making balls for them.  See this post.

I was told by top exec with a ball company that Brunswick and Ebonite/Hammer are the only 2 companies make profit right now. I deleted all my other posts but one major company is up for sale right now, the vp's have the right too buy it first in there contracts. I will no longer mention that companies name or it's owners but you might have read who i said it was yesterday. After getting hate mail i deleted my posts and you heard it from me first.

Might make bowling, for the bowler, more enjoyable if there weren't 350 balls to choose from every year.

Isn't Visonary making Bangers equipment? I think that will increase their sales.
