Cheetah Championship After 1st Block
« on: December 04, 2008, 05:02:28 AM »
After first block top 4 are Lochetter, Weber, Jurek, and Bohn.  Other: Malott 7th, Duke 22, Barnes 33, WRJ 50, Liz Johnson 56, Smith did not finish.

I think Duke will be making a move in the next rounds.  About even for the first 5 game with 4 190 games and then 515 for the last 2 games.

For the women top 4 are Bellinder, Petrick, Nation Feldman.

Top Amateur qualifier Dave Guindon is currently in 23rd. Please see the exert below from the Buffalonews on him.

"Guindon, 41, a St. Mary’s of Lancaster graduate, was a PBA pro from 1987 to 1992 but gave up the Tour life. He chose instead to take a full-time job with a West Seneca pharmaceutical firm, which gave him the freedom to bowl in weekend tournaments and bowl in the occasional megabucks tournaments in places. He’s had a first place worth $100,000, a second worth $50,000 and a third worth another $50,000 before the big money events began to dry up.

Guindon won the Obenauer Masters in 1986 at Arrow Lanes and 2002 at Transit and was runner-up in 1996 and the top qualifier for the 1999 Obie."

It was the first eliminator tournament at Sam's town.

He was throwing very deep on the lane lofting the gutter. I know in one of the later matches he didn't get enough loft and threw it into the left gutter. Made a huge crash.

I don't remember the 300 but he bowled very well that week.

Weber is looking really good right now.  He shot 750 in the last 3 games of the first block and started the second block with a 248.

Meanwhile, our man Kenny Simard is firmly planted at the bottom of the stack in 63rd place.  What a difference a week makes...

Round of 32, Jeff Carter bowls 160 4th game, then a 128 5th game, 184 6th.  Jeff, Jeff, Jeff.  Watch out, don't look up, the "league hacks" are circling ready to swoop. LOL.  Good luck in the remaining games.
