Forget Voss/Pedersen...
« on: December 14, 2003, 06:54:00 PM »
...the real disaster was that Holly Rowe chick! Whaddya mean, Leslie Gudel is expecting?!?! If she ain't in the delivery room, get her butt back out there!

That interview with WRW was a disaster. "What's different between last year and this year?" "Well, last year I was great, and this year... I'm not." "Thank you, Walter Ray!"

Duh...

I don't care if she looks like a beached whale...

GET LESLIE GUDEL BACK ON THE SHOW!!!

Who is Leslie Gudel and who is Holly Rowe? and why must we suffer them?

Get a bowler to interview a bowler. period. end of story.

They tried that bowler-bowler interview stuff when ABC had the shows.  What it proved was that though bowlers are very talented with a ball in their hands, hand them a microphone and you see how inept they can become.  It was really prett bad, especially since the interviews all sounded scripted and phony.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.  And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

maybe it was just me but does anyone know why she would ask randy pederson how do u deal with the pressure that if u lose this match u only get half the money and don't get the automatic 2yr exemption and all this other stuff right before he bowls the title match.  I could tell u my answer would be by not thinking about it and talking about it to some reporter

I figured with how stupid her interview of WRW was, she must be married to Dave Ryan

And what do these women sound like?

There are several bowlers who know what they are talking about and can ask proper questions. Del Ballard can.

Besides, does anyone else think that interviewing bowlers 2 seconds before the match seems ... disruptive? How do you expect most people to make cogent replies to some pretty dumb questions anyway? I am watching the show to see them bowl, not to hear them talk. Analyses are much better afterwards.

I just watched a tape of the ToC show last night. That was a horrible show - not because of the bowling, but everything else. Voss was even worse than when he's been on before. How many times did he say "folks" - trying to talk down to the common bowler? Then it sounded like he was whispering - trying to add drama? Sheesh....then paired with Dave Ryan, where's the mute button?

The ugly chick doing the interviews, why bother? They actually detracted from the show. Where was Baldo, or even one of the Dorin sisters - if you really needed a female presence.

What was with the camara angles - I was getting dizzy.

At least Randy was enjoyable - as usual - too bad he didn't win.
