All he does is talk about "power & revs" of Rash ...

I think Peterson sees his lost youth in Rash

He was hyping him up some today.  He WAS the tournament leader.  He DID have more revs and power than the other guys on the show.  Rash did WIN the tournament.

Next week he'll by hyping somebody else on the show, that IS his job.  Color commentary.

Lighten up Francis.......

About the only thing I see from Randy these days is, has he forgotten about his bowling days?

They make some comments in that booth that sound like someone they are coming from a brand new guy in bowling! Like when PA threw a few bad shots, Randy acted like he has no clue what was going on. You have been there before. That is what I want Randy in that booth for, to talk about it from a players persepective!!

On a side note Rob Stone or whatever his name is.. No thanks!! Actually would rather Ryan please!!

Well, Rash's power and revs are extremely impressive.

I don't know why so many people hate power players.  I mean, they're the best to me.  In what other sport are players hated on because they're powerful and can dominate their competition with their overpowering ability?

I know the reason and it's because most people quite frankly don't have the ability to bowl with much power or come from a generation when power wasn't the goal so much as it is in todays game.  So people always complain about power players and talk about accuracy...because it's something they think they can do.

And so many people think the lanes and balls should be changed so power players don't get an advantage.  I'm sorry but power players should have an advantage.  The whole purpose of the game is to knock down 10 pins at a time.  It should be obvious that the more physical power you can put on the ball the easier this is going to become.  If your power also allows you to create area and not worry as much about accuracy then so be it.  It's a game of accuracy and power.  I think too many people think accuracy is the only viable variable in play.  But both should always be in play and are.  So a powerful, accurate player will have an advantage.

But here's the thing:  for all of Rash's power he also has tremendous accuracy.  Better than anyone around here I'm sure.

(I will agree, power players with no accuracy might dominate house shots too much.  Accuracy is forsaken for power.  But what people don't realize is a THS caters to players with little power also, which is most bowlers.  So when bowlers who aren't very accurate or powerful (most of us) get stomped by inaccurate guys with a lot of power (think the guy in your league who doesn't use a thumb) you can't complain.  Because at least the guy has power.  The typical bowler has little power and little accuracy but they seem to only think accuracy should matter.  Join a sport league if it bothers you.  There, guys with no accuracy but good power don't usually do well.  Accuracy is favored more on these shots.  Power players with accuracy are the best.)
