Wasn't Amleto inspiring today? Nostalgia, humility, and victory! 8)

Amleto was on top of his game today and also had the right ball choice as well. Barnes makes another dumb ball change and costs him yet another possible title. I really scratch my head at some choices Barnes makes on the lanes.

He threw it so well!  Great job, he is my absolute favorite pro to watch, loved seeing him win. Sad he is not with storm tho..

Even if Barnes stayed with his dark matter, I don't think think he would have gotten past Amleto.

Amleto had a great ball reaction all day with the new Track Heat.  Barnes had a good look, but Amleto was the only one that was able to open the lane up more than everyone else and actually carry.  Dom Barrett played more like Barnes with keeping the angles closer and Szczerbinski had carry issues with opening up the lanes.  Great to see him win title #20 where his very first title was won back in 1987.

Great tournament!!! Barnes' recent back surgery must have affected his game, but he is too classy to make excuses. I was very happy for Amleto; he is such a great role model for younger bowlers. The crowd reaction at the end of the tournament was also very nice.

It's been a while since I watched a full episode. Well, I missed the first match. But yesterday was the longest I've watched bowling on TV.

I mean, I was excited when A.M. and his Track Heat showed up. I just wanted him to win. I was cheering and yelling for strikes! And I didn't need my woodford reserve (bourbon) to get me going. I just wanted him to win his 20th, such a humble man. And he did!!!

I will start watching bowling again that's for sure.....

I agree great to see Amleto back in the Winners Circle. Billdozer, wonder how he would have done with a Wrecker?  ;)

They mentioned that Chris Barnes said his biggest difficulty right now after the surgery is keeping a consistent ball speed

It was an excellent tournament, and arguably the first nail-biter championship match of the season. Whereas previous matches have been blowouts, Monacelli-Barrett came down to the final shots. A.M. had a great look and got the carry when he needed it, unlike Dom, who's 10-pin leaves sealed the deal.
I wanted to see Barnes win it all, but Monacelli coming out on top is just as good. Honestly, I think I saw Barnes grimacing after some of his shots against Szczerbinski. He definitely wasn't 100% in this tournament, but Barnes made some great quality shots and running into the Monacelli buzzsaw was unavoidable.
Also, I appreciated Randy Pederson's commentary in this telecast. His comments on pin carry during the Barnes-Szczerbinski match were spot-on.

Does anyone know when/if this will be rebroadcast? My DVR is set up to tape all bowling events, yet somehow it failed to hit on this one. I'd really like to see it if it will be played again sometime.

Gene,

I think that show was on ESPN2 not ESPN like usually, so that may be the reason why it missed it.
