He just shot 1769 for 7 games on the Scorpion pattern, usually considered Wes Malott's own. That's a 252 average, including one 300! He's now in 4th place.

Tommy Jones is also on a roll, shooting 1698 for the 7 games, avg: 242 for the 7.

Good ole Scroggy also shot 1700 for the 7 on Scorpion putting him in 6th, just ahead of WRW.

Malott's still in 1st and Barnes in 3rd.

This is some serious good bowling !!

PDW tore the house down.  Confidence in his game you could see shot after shot.  The Easter Bunny was very good to PDW this year

It''s funny that WRW "owns" PDW on TV and today Walter did it again - using PDW as a tool to win POW (oops - POY)!! There is no end to Walter''s ability!!!

Actually, during the telecast, I believe Randy indicated that Pete believes the POY should be voted on by the Exempt players only and no disrespect to Scroggins, but he would vote for Walter Ray as POY.

Wow there are some dumbarses on this board. Ya...he wears sunglasses to hide his "coke habit" and back in the 90's he never wore sunglasses. Funny...watch the show which he wins in 1985 in Las Vegas in a pre interview with his father how he went to rehab to quit drugs. He's been clean for longer the some of you have been alive.

I have to disagree with Pete on this. First of all, it never helped him in the past when on a couple of occasions he was not voted poy when he could have been including the infamous year of 1987 when the players gave it to Marshall Holman. Second of all, the best thing the PBA ever did was making the points leader get the award. The point system may not be perfect but it does show who was the most consistent player in a season was and not the bowler that got a title or two and a major and then didn't make cuts on certain tournaments or even show up due to injuries or by choice. They mentioned Brad Angelo was the points leader one season. This was back around 04 and he did win point totals but never won a title. So certainly he should have won and if Mike Scroggins won today and was the highest point leader he should have won.
