PBA TOUR 2010 - 2011
« on: February 24, 2010, 01:31:17 AM »
I heard that next year there will only be 12 tournaments on the schedule. Also that 1st place is being reduced to 15,000. How will the they expect to fill tournaments for no money being offered to the players? Is it time for some new blood in the ownership role for the PBA? This could be the end for an American tour, forcing our top players to the EBT and JPBA.

Have you not read ANY (any at all) of the discussions on here about the PBA dying and bowling as a dying skill/"sport"?

RIP PBA...killed by USBC and his accomplices Ebonite, Storm, Brunswick, and the other companies that have run bowlers off with high costs for equipment and super high scoring conditions.

Considering the ratings the PBA pulls when it doesn't have to go against football I still deeply believe the PBA is just poorly run.

They need to look at how bowling is presented in other countries and not just go with "It wasn't invented here thinking."

I seriously doubt that is true. If it is, then the PBA tour is not a summer high pot league. If they can't get more tournaments and start getting 50,000 first place winnings along with real tour stops then pros will start dropping out. 60 k for the US open is insulting also. Unless they are retarded, then they should know the loss of ratings this season was due to the stupid, idiotic idea of having multiple tournaments in one city and tape delaying them. If they can't do it then the owners need to sell the PBA to someone that can turn them around. We were promised by these liars that they would turn around the tour back in the early 00's as we were told they were going to fold then from poor revenue in the late 90's. To an extent they did that but the last few years have been a joke. The PBA tour can be back but they need new ownership. First thing they need to do is fire everyone in thier remarketing department and start over after this season is over. Then this whole spring and summer I would like them to get in a room and discuss 8 hours a day why they ended up in this position in the first place!!

Another brilliant, inspiring post from BrianCRX90.  Since he knows how the PBA should be run, I don't know why they don't hire him to put them on course or maybe he should buy them out and dazzle us all with his managerial expertise.

If I had the money I'd be running it and you'd be working for me if your lucky.

I was thinking about this today. My favorite telecasts of all time are the World Tenpin Masters and the Weber Cup. I would love to see Paul Moor lace up a pair in America.
