Pete Weber was the number 1 play on ESPN's not top ten
« on: March 02, 2012, 07:50:48 PM »
He was actually number 1.  Only the Mouthbreathers can find his conduct on Sunday acceptable.  PBA should be embarrassed.  If they want to expand their audience, Sunday did not help.  People on Twitter not familiar with the PBA could not believe how much of a jerk he was acting.

"Witesux" That's a thumbs down for your spelling. 1 for your team. And for this on Pete.

Couldn't agree more.

If people want bowling to be a sport, they should start treating it like a sport. This wouldn't fly in any other professional sport.

Football: Fine and possibly suspension.
Baseball: Fine and possibly suspension.
Basketball: Fine and possibly suspension.
Golf: The death penalty.
Hockey: Maybe allowable but not likely.

Not to mention endless ridicule for the "athlete".

There is ONE "sport" in which behavior like this is acceptable. The WWE.

If the PBA wants to be considered an athletic organization they need to revamp their image. Start drug testing. Start suspending players. Start requiring media appearances. Look at what other SUCCESSFUL sports are doing, and follow the example they set. Plain and simple.

An absolute joke and an absolute black eye for bowling.

If your a niche sport you need to appeal to your core audiance and try to grow from there. High school bowling is booming and a PBA tour that actually tours the country and taps in to these new bowlers could have endless possibilities. The PBA is limited to being a west regional event that competes againt the football juggernaut NFL. This will never work. Just watch and see. Air the shows live on any day the NFL isnt on and tour the country.

"1 of 1."
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.
