who are the crankers on tour?
« on: December 03, 2003, 10:04:13 PM »
not the obvious guys like smith, Amletto, rudy, couch.  Who are the guys who qualify as crankers.  I think there are a bunch of guys somewhere in the middle, but a few of them have to be able to be called crankers.  Chris Johnson comes to mind. That guy can turn the ball more than anyone I've seen for a while.  How about Tommy buckshot Jones?  He has to be close.  Always able to play that deep inside line.  Maybe Tim Mack, he gets a whole lot of turn on that ball he throws.

I guess it gets a little bit tougher to tell the difference between the crankers and others at the top.

I mean the other obvious guys are Scroggins and Jarros, we all know they turn the ball at a rate somewhere around 600.

Anyone else that actually makes match play come to mind?

Chris Johnson and Mike Fagan are in the category as well.

I think anyone who uses a mongoose is automatically disqualified.  But yeah, I was joking. I do think he might actually have the LOWEST rev rate on tour.  But more power to him for showing us that fluffing makes 3 telecasts in a row.

I'd put DJ Archer in the "cranker" category.  He was a cranker back in the leagues I bowled with him in anyways.  I haven't seen him throw in a while, so I don't know if his style has changed or not.   HE NEEDS TO MAKE A DAMN SHOW!!!!!!!
