WRW - will he make the cut?!
« on: March 27, 2008, 12:14:36 PM »
WRW was right at the cut line as of 9:15 pm EDT. Will he make it?
Chris Barnes wasn't doing so well eityher, just a couple of places above.
Interesting development when you consider the POY race that is at stake!

Looks like WRW jr will make it but the defending champ Pete Weber is the one just under the cut line with one game left. Looks like Weber would need at least a 201 to even have a chance. The last person above the cut line is BR's own Michael Cimba. Go Michael!

How about the sets bowled by Carolyn Dorin-Ballard so far. Sitting in the top 25 @ 21st, with a +182!
Jeff Carter, a respectable 42nd @ +108.
Mike Marisco (MM2004) - 50th @ +74.

I was kind of rooting for BeefStl, but it looks like the conditions were pretty tough for him.

Pete Weber and WRW jr.s both had good last games and made the cut. Michael Cimba also had a good last game but was the last person to miss the cut...by 1 pin. Chris barnes also made it. Brad Angelo is still the leader by 31 pins.

I tell you who made a big jump -- Kenny Simard might have just saved his exemption. I believe he was about 30-50 outside the line until the last game, when he shot 257 in the last game to get in. He might still have some work to do, because the cut line could move up to 37 depending on who wins this thing, but at least he's still fighting. Many did not.

Tomorrow there is another 9 Games, and then they cut to the top 24 I believe. Im not sure if thats based on the 9 Game total or the 27 Game Total.
