15Lbs....2oz
Right-handed
THS
Rev dominant-350+
Speed:13.00-13.50mph
So I picked up this ball strictly on hype. I had heard a lot of good things about the ball from various bowlers.
I normally don't do this. I normally research the ball completely by watching others throw it; detailing the RG and differential and wait to purchase after 6 months or so.
But this ball really peaked my curiosity.
This is a sneaky good and very versatile ball. By it being a pearl, I expected it to be smooth, which it is, with a lot of length. I just didn't realize that it has attributes of a solid even though its a pearl.
My first time out with it, I bowled on a broken down THS. I needed to see its true potential. I played down 5, 10, 15, and 20. I am rev dominant with slow speed, like 13.50. So starting right was a chore on a broken down shot, so I had to crank up the speed considerably to keep it on the right side. That being said this ball was continuous through the pocket area and it carried well, both high flush and Brooklyn.
Moving in to 15 and 20, playing a swing shot this ball suddenly became very dynamic. The recovery of the ball really surprised me and that's where I started to see the similarities to a solid. It's a pearl but it doesn't act like a pearl. Regardless of how wide I swung this ball it recovered really well without a whole lot of hand manipulation on my part. Sometimes it seemed as if it hooked twice in getting back to the pocket.
I forgot to get the dual angle layout from my PSO, so I'll have to come back and edit that number in. Just guessing I'd say it's something like 80x 4x 45, or close to that.
I love this ball right off the break. It is going to be useable on all kinds of conditions. It's carry is excellent. Ball's that I threw tight, expecting a split.....nada......strike baby.
Radical did a good job on this symmetrical piece. Me LIKEY!!
