« Last post by bowler33 on Today at 11:16:38 AM »Our house shot is 43 feet and 25 or 26 ml. So plenty of oil, but it is tapered some so not a huge wall. I normally use strong balls that work well for me. A shines up.UFO and Halo Vision are 2 of my favorites along with the Venom shock. The Shock actually covers more boards than the 2 assyms. Just wanted to try the new AI technology in the Sublime and since my PAP has changed I really would like to.get the layout right. Thanks for all the input.

If you watch some of MO Panels old videoes he specifically mentions that if you stay behind the ball too much,.you better bring your spare ball. He advocates for really getting around the ball for today's game. So I am just trying to find some layouts that will maximize this new track. I do welcome these comments and am always trying to improve my game. Was thinking about drilling the SUBLIME like the Shock, but moving over about 1 1/2 or 2 inches away from the VAL. Low flare with a 20-30 degree VAL angle. Any thoughts?______________________________________________________________
Where I bowl there's actually oil on the lanes, and plenty of it. The more I "spin" the ball the worse it gets because the ball never gets to the roll phase on a regular basis, causing the endless 10 pins. With plenty of dry then tilt will be your friend. Best of luck to you.

« Last post by king of the mill on May 31, 2024, 12:28:12 AM »Short pin layouts (pin distances from 1 1/4" - 2 1/4" from your PAP) work extremely well for many lower speed rev dominant bowlers.

Likes: FIREBALL!!!! Last year Ebonite came out with a ball called Fireball. I did not try one, but my friend Craig Miller swore by it. Then he shot a couple 300's & a couple 800's. Recently Ebonite came out with the Fireball Purple & Gold. Well, I wasn't going to miss out a 2nd time. So glad I ordered one. This is a ball designed for medium to dry lanes, but so far, I've liked it on the fresh for our House Shot. This ball has the same core but a little different formulation of the cover-stock chemistry. GB11.2 w/ HK22 vs GB10.7 w/HK22 which I'm told gives this ball a little stronger change of direction when it reads the friction. All I can tell you beyond that is, I like the shape it creates, I like the way it goes through the pins, and being a "mid" performance ball, it won't break the bank.

Are you bowling on higher friction or “dry” lanes? Look at the Tundra Blue Fire as a possible answer. It is a slightly stronger version of the Tundra Fire (4/20/2023) due to the DR-6 Pearl additive package with the HK22 base. This one will pick up earlier in the mid lane and have a rounded shape. The Tundra Fire is still a good option if you like seeing a little more angular motion. Low diff doesn’t mean less hook. It helps control the ball motion when the lanes are tricky or have high friction. Take a look at the video on Track’s website and see how clean and controlled the response is from steeper angles. Don’t forget DynamiCore is there for added hitting power and durability. The Tundra Blue Fire would be a ball if your clean equipment is too angular on lighter volumes.

Volume- Medium-Heavy Core- Maximum Results Asym Coverstock-HK22+ Textured Hybrid
Radical is bringing back the Maximum Results core in the new Radical Max Bias. The Maximum Results was a big ball that would roll forward a little early if there wasn’t enough volume down lane. The big diff of .050 intermediate diff of .030 is a slot of engine. High speed dominant bowlers really liked it. Updating the cover to the HK22+ Textured Hybrid will blend the ball motion out for more bowlers. This is the tournament ball for heavy volumes. Depending on your specs, the after drilling numbers for layout A can blow up the numbers to .062 and .044 respectively; that’s a lot of ball! New to the Top Shelf for Radical is producing this level of ball in the 12 and 13lb weights. There is a core change, but this combo creates a big ball for those who use these weights. The Radical Maximum Results core is a Mo Heritage Series ball and Mo would like the hook power.

The NU cover gives the traction characteristics of urethane but allows for a touch more forgiveness. This is the same cover that’s on the Hammer NU but with the Rattler core. The core shape and numbers give the Rattler NU a stronger and smoother reaction from front to back. The numbers are stronger due to the use of DynamiCore instead of the thick cover in the 14-16lb Hammer NUs. That strength difference continues through all the available weights. Bowlers who like to be closer to the oil line and be more direct will like this ball. Speak with your Shop Technician for layout options based on your numbers. A surface adjustment may be needed but roll it a few games so you can gather info, if you think a change is needed.
