59030 - Storm / Storm Lightning Blackout Review
« Last post by myers007 on Today at 11:46:25 AM »
The Storm Lightning Blackout comes with the ReX Pearl Reactive cover, Warp A.I. Core, and reacta gloss finish. This ball has a higher RG at 2.53 and lower diff at 0.029. This ball is clean down the lane and will need some friction. It will not be a ball thrown on the fresh as it will need some lane break down to really shine. I compared this ball to the VEBO and it is a good ball or two down from it. The LBO may be a step down but for me, I feel as if it would be two balls down as it just does not have enough core to be a ball down. The LBO looks good when the lanes break down or there is a lot of friction when you need a clean ball to get down the lane. Another great release in the Storm line!

I am higher speed, rev challenged 220-250ish, high tilt, high rotation, and super low track player. I drilled my Absolute Power 5.5 x 3 x 1.75 using Storm VLS.
My axis point is 3 1/4 over and 7/8 up.
The Absolute Power is a welcomed addition to arsenal it is early but not too early with a strong round shape. I generally use this ball game 1 of league or when there is not enough friction right. The Absolute power by Storm definitely does not disappoint and the Blueberry Orange Cake scent is Absolutely amazing!

Hey, and welcome back as we have a great one for you from Storm Bowling Products The Road! If you're a fan of these reviews, first and foremost, I want to thank you for hopefully enjoying these reviews and videos and hope it gives you some information to take back when looking to get your next bowling ball. From the previous reviews and videos of the Hustles, as I've mentioned many times being more speed dominant than rev dominant, the weaker equipment tends to give me a really bad over-under reaction but with this ball, I did not really see it unless it was human error. The Road video starts off with a strike and so I start moving to the right a little bit and you could see where the next couple of shots the ball hangs and so I move back to the left a little bit at a time. and as you can see the more I move left the better. this ball looked off the spot. Once again, balls lower than the mid-performance or benchmark-ish balls usually don't fare too well for someone like me who is more up the back of the ball as the ball is forward most of the way down the lane. As you can see this ball was something that moved left which again is something I don't tend to do a lot as I usually focus staying within bigger balls. it changed my mind a little bit and really can't wait to work over the summer dialing in those hustles. The road. I am definitely going to keep at its box finish and manipulate a few balls around this one and really define the bag and I definitely see this ball being a staple in the bag for some time to come.

Sam Cooper. Roto Grip Amateur Staffer. Layout 50x5.25.35. If you love the original Hyroad or any of the other thunder line bowling balls. Be sure to check out the new Road! Featuring REX Hybrid cover stock and the same inverted FE2 Core wrapped in the AI Core tech. The core’s RG numbers are brought down to 2.55 and the differential is now the same better the 14-16lbs balls at .045. These numbers give this ball that middle of the road ball feel(pun intended). Looking for this ball to be in a similar slot to the 900 Global Zen Gold label in the bag.

Comparing the Road to the latest thunder line ball the night road. The new Road seems to read the mid lane a lot more and that is due to the Road having a hybrid cover over night road having a pearl cover. The night road for me was clean yet on the smoother side of things. The Road responds quicker and has similar motion. Compared to the OG Hyroad and Pearl the Road feels like step up from the OGs. The REX cover is much stronger than R2S in my opinion means the Road is a more usable option on more conditions. If that sounds good to you then you definitely want to check out the new Road!
