56554 - Brunswick / Brunswick Crown Victory (WWRD 04/17/2025)

Brunswick Crown Victory   @15lbs 2.540 .045   Dynamicore/DOT/HK22
WWRD 04/17/2025   (12-16lbs)   Alternate Core 12-13lbs   Volume-Medium
Core- Tiered Hexagon      Coverstock- HK22 Savvy Hook Hybrid (NEW)
A ball gets overlooked sometimes and one of those was the Brunswick Endeavor (02/02/2024). It introduced the Tiered Hexagon core. With its cover, it provided a clean and quick angular motion. Using the same core and now wrapping it with the new HK22 Savvy Hook Hybrid. What you’ll see is still clean but an earlier motion with great continuation. This one keeps coming. We don’t see it as the first ball out of your bag (unless you bowl on higher friction surfaces), but more of a transition piece that you can stay in longer when you get into it. Slower speed players can use this who would like some motion without getting too angular at straighter angles. If you at a bowler who is new and confused with all the tech, the Crown Victory may be a great choice to start and build. I wouldn’t recommend this ball for bowlers just starting. For those bowlers, take a look at the Brunswick Twist and Rhino series’. All the tech is here with DynamiCore and D.O.T. This is new at this price point which makes it a phenomenal value and performance piece.

The new IQ AI is Storm's newest addition in the famous IQ line of bowling balls featuring the new C3 AI core and trusty R2S Hybrid Reactive coverstock with the Power Edge Polish on top. I have left the Power Edge shine on my IQ to gain an understanding of how this ball was supposed to roll out of the box. I can confidently say that the IQ AI is one of the more versatile pieces in my arsenal even with the shine. True to the IQ name, I can very easily manipulate the IQ Ai's shape with my hand and ball speed. I am able to play up the lane with a more rolly hand position, and I am also able to shape the lane with a little softer speed and aggressive hand position. The ball responds to both lines beautifully and maintains energy through the pin deck from all angles. I have also drilled this IQ with a slightly weaker than normal 5 inch pin, and I am still thoroughly impressed with the continuation of the IQ AI. This would be a piece to slot right underneath your benchmark solid piece (Phaze ll for example).

If the ball is a reactive resin ball, it could be oil soaked, and the cover would need the oil removed.  Once the cover gets full of oil, it will stop hooking.  I deoil mine about every 50 games or so.

To strengthen your arm and shoulder muscles, you should regularly practice some exercises such as weight lifting, push-ups, shoulder rotations to improve and be more flexible.

This ball fits well when the DV8 Heckler might be too reactive, providing a smoother yet effective alternative. For bowlers looking to fine-tune their setup, DV8 provides guidelines to match layouts with PAP measurements, ensuring optimal performance.

I made a video covering what I view as the most important things that both bowlers and parents should be aware of going into Jr. Gold season. As usual helping the youth is a collaborative effort so if you have anything to add, please leave a comment.

I have to admit, I never paid any attention to Dino Castillo. But today I am a fan of his. Just brilliant.

58946 - Roto Grip / Re: RST Hyperdrive
« Last post by chasev97 on April 06, 2025, 04:25:19 PM »
Roto Grip has FINALLY brought back this core! The Hyperdrive features the same great weight block from the original RST series, now featuring A.I. outer core technology. All of this, combined with the cover from the original Gem and Optimum Idol, creates a strong control asym ball with a little later hook window and a little more punch on the back part of the lane. Compared to similar balls in our current line like the Ion Max or Harsh Reality, The RST stores a little more energy and jerks a little more off of the breakpoint, where the other 2 tend to bleed off more and be more even front-to-back. The RST-Hyperdrive provides a unique take on a ball type that I get a lot of use out of on medium house shots with higher ratios and even on some shorter patterns with decreased axis rotation. If you like your current asym solid but wish it was a little punchier, this is the ball for you!
