5 points to better bowling seminar
« on: August 24, 2005, 10:49:26 AM »
I attended the seminar at Oddysey Fun Center in
Sheboygan Falls,Wisconsin this past saturday. It
was put together by Steve Richter. If there is a
Roto-Grip proshop near you, ask them to host a
5 points seminar. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!
Hank Bommershine was there and did the 2 hour
classroom portion of the seminar. He explains
everything in an easy to understand manner. Chris
Sand was also in attendance as an instructor along
with Bob Maki. 3 hours of on lane instruction followed.
Hank went one by one, looked at what equipment you have,
watched you roll the balls he wanted to see and then made
a recommendation for layout of the included RS-X. Steve
will be punching the RS-X out tomorrow for me. Thank you
Hank and Roto-Grip for such a wonderful learning tool!!
Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for the nice note on the 5 Points Seminar.  That's quite a comment coming from a Visionary guy :-).

I've drilled the first 5 from the seminar and the RSX is stronger than I thought shiny.  Awesome benchmark shiny solid.

Hi Steve Eagle,
Just giving credit where credit is due.
Thanks again for putting that together..
Hope the "insider" paid up

Is the RS-X the long time replacement
for your beloved silver streak solids??

I think the RSX today is like the SS Solid from 3-4 years ago in where it fits in the line.  Like Hank said, although it has higher flare, it's becoming a benchmark ball because today's oil is loaded with additives and is becoming slicker daily, making the ball more smooth throughout the lane.

What I will say is that my RSX does everything my SS Soilds did - flip and lay down when you need it to, be smooth when the lanes get torn up.  I'm very surprised how well this performs for not only the "good hands" people, but those that are straighter through the front part of the lane as well.

Bass:
I'm talking to Hank about an advanced lane play program in November - we just have to work some of the details out.  We'll keep you posted.
