Adrenaline and Reacta Wipes
« on: June 30, 2012, 05:30:07 PM »
Tried the new Adrenaline Wipes on my current lineup.  Defiant, not much different, but, have not used this ball that much.  Critical Theory, big difference, ball is revived.  Infinite Theory, no difference, still dead.  Rising Star, a little more backend.  Did not use it on the Neptune, I like the oil soaked weak reaction on the dry house shots I bowl on.  Will report if next application causes any different reactions.  Also tried the Storm Reacta Wipes after I finished bowling for the first time.  This product is very good and easy to use.  The spray bottles, at least to me, have been kind of a hassle to use and store.  They start out fine, then the sprayer starts to plug up and the whole thing becomes useless after a while.  The big test will be how long the sheets stay moist inside the original packaging in my bag.  Gets hot in the trunk of my car during the summer.

As far as I have learned, the purpose of Adrenaline wipes to increase the oil absorption rate of a ball's coverstock. It is not to rejuvenate your ball. There are several possible reason for a ball not to be reacting as if it were new. So there are several ways to correct it, once you know which is the cause or which are the causes for the lost reaction. Lack of or reduction in the oil absorption rate is only one possible cause. If the coverstock is oil soaked, using Adrenaline wipes  will probably not cause it to absorb oil more quickly. One of the other major causes - change in the surface roughness - may also have to be done.

Yeah, Adrenaline Wipe open the pores, but they also clean while opening the pores. I took some equipment out of my closet and took some wipes to it, just as a quick test run, and they pulled out oil to the point I was using 3+ wipes a ball, each one turning black. So they DO pull the oil out very well. Just not as well as a complete extraction.

I would say, in the end, that if you have a ball that's weakening in reaction, wipes should restore it. If it's long dead, probably not going to help.
