Aggressive Piece
« on: June 10, 2004, 01:09:25 AM »
Just curious.. I need something that hooks early.  I've become a Roto fan.  I currently have a silver streak and a pure fuel.  I like both of these pieces.  I would like some suggestions on something more aggressive than my ss.  I know drilling determines alot of the performance.. I just want to hear what some of you fellow roto supporters use.

SHEET, of the older stuff the Assault line seemed the most aggressive.  I've got a Major assault and a Global Assault and they're very aggressive.  Whatever the current line equivalent is would be my bet for the most aggressive.  Jeffrevs would know, I haven't kept up with the newer stuff, I'm happy with my older stuff.

Sheet,

Drillings or surface changes can make balls more aggressive also.
Placing pins in the 2.5" - 3.5" range and/or lowering their position to at or well below the ring finger can make them roll much earlier, IF your track permits such. Kicking the CG out and then placing a weight hole 3" below your axis point will also make the ball flare a lot more, making it more aggressive also.

If I am correct in reading your post, and it is that you are looking for earlier hook, as in making a move sooner, then probably the SS Particle or Rush. Although I haven't thrown either, seeing them used, and from posts here they seem to fit that bill. But JeffRevs or Mustang Guy would be more help. Don't forget you can always call Mustang Guy (Roger) at the factory 800#. He has helped many on this board with ball selection, and layouts.

They are coming out next month with a ball for oiler conditions.  That would fit what you are looking for.
