Any more reviews on the Mutant?
« on: October 28, 2009, 06:27:06 AM »
I'm hoping to have mine by the end of the week.  It'll be my first Roto ball, looking very forward to it.

I have used mine for a couple of sets and on the fresh its a great ball. I shot 279 the first game Monday night and then had to put it away as the carry down got really bad and I prefer the Sideways on that type of condition. I'm sure I could use it on less oil, but I prefer to not fight the lanes.

You will like it. Its my favorite Cell so far. I can't wait to use it some more.

Ball rolls very heavy, a sweeping arc, no flip... never stops rolling. Very continuous. Like it alot. Used 5½ pin to PAP 70 Mass Bias No Hole, Pin in my middle finger. Used on 2 house shots, only threw 5-10 shots w the ball overall so far. Playing 17 to 10 kept leaving 3-6-10. Went 23 out to 10 and struck and left a 4 pin. Ball is that strong. Can't wait to use on some longer and heavier volume conditions. Definitely will be good for speed dominant bowlers on house shots, and for all styles in tournament/oily conditions.

Sounds good.  I'm looking at a 45* 5.5" 45* for mine.  It's the same layout that I have on my Power Machine and I love the reaction I get out of it.

You averaged almost 250 for 4 games with the ball the 1st set and you slacked off the last game??? LOL

quote:
My thoughts reflect the others here. This thing is strong from front to back. As someone mentioned earlier this ball makes a strong "sweeping" motion, not to be confused with a flip. I had a good first set with this ball in my sunday morning league. I shot 991 for 4....not to bad...i slacked off the last game but...oh well.

Sounds good.  Be sure to look for my review soon.  Since I live in Cali, there is a chance I'll have it today.  I ordered it early Tuesday.
