Do you think this kind of lay out would be good on the fresh? It seems to me that getting the ball to "lay off" until the lane settles down is a huge part of bowling on the fresh.
I agree, this was a favorite drilling of mine especially in urethane!
Chappy did you ever try the compu-balance lay outs? They were a variation of the axis leverage lay outs. The pin was 3-4" from PAP, but instead of a weight hole thru the CG (axis point), the hole was close to 9" from center of grip.
You could never do it with todays flare monsters, but urethane blue hammers back in the day were awesome with this type of lay out.
