Battle vs Odyssey
« on: February 15, 2007, 10:30:59 AM »
I didn't want to post this, but doin' some research and can't come to a conclusion what makes the odyssey stronger or weaker than the battle. I love the battle and own two of them. trying to determine whether an odyssey's gonna fit in. And what makes the difference as they both are using the vision coverstock and the maximusII ....

any input all helpful.

I think the difference is in the particle coverstock of the battle.. Odyssey is a solid reactive.  Does the low-load particle make a big enough difference to warrant buying another?  who knows.. LOL

I had a Battle and just had the Odyssey
drilled this week along with the Neptune..

Look for reviews this weekend to see how
things shake out and fit with the other
roto wrecking balls...

would either work on the shark pattern adequately per proper layout and surface preparations? or would your recommend one of the other. One of my battle's is layed out to turn sooner yet still in OOB.... would some surface prep make it more usefull on the shark. its standard lay out. i'm a 14mph med rev player. i have no problems on all other patterns but this one?

I agree with RotoDave on this one, the Battle is good for developing a track to play off of and the Odyssey for going deeper and bumping it off of the track created by the Battle.  As long as you're careful with layouts and surface preparation, they won't be too similar.
