Dark STAR
« on: February 16, 2010, 12:54:29 AM »
I am looking for a ball to go to when my Nomad Solid is to much ball for the third game during league play andhave been thinking of trying this ball  once it is released. My Nomad Solid is drilled 4 1/2 over the ring finger and the c.g. 4 from my pap which is 4 3/4 over and 3/4 up.We start out bowling on a med. oil pattern 38 feet long.My speed is around 15mph and i play down and in. Would this be a good choice for what i am looking for? I know this ball will not be released until Feb.24 but was hoping some one, staff or proshop owner, might have gotten theirs already. Thanks for any help on this ball.

Since no one (professional, that is) has tested it yet, and there have been few postings on this ball, it's kind of hard to say. But RG is rather consistent with their covers and cores, so I would hazard a guess that the Dark Star is good choice for what you are looking for. No guarantees.

Threw it at Roto/Storm open house, pretty long, pretty even. Suitable replacement for a Neptune, not as weak though. If you are rev-challenged you may have to stand really close to the friction, if you get on it a lot its a good ball to get you through burned fronts. Might be too big of a step down from a Nomad Solid, might want to look at a Nomad Pearl, Riot, or as I stated earlier get the Dark Star and move way right.
