Hyper Cell vs Sync
« on: November 15, 2013, 09:48:58 PM »
Does anyone knowledgeable know how these two will compare? I need to replace my oil ball, and I don't know if I should buy the Sync now, or wait for the Hyper Cell to come out.

If I had the choice it would be the cell anyday of the week.  Every cell I owned rolled great, easy to drill too..

Hell I still use my rogue cell...one of best peices...one that you can count on!

Every bowler I know personally that throws utah equipment is leaping at the hyper cell...

Not to many gave a hoot about the sync...(and I really like my sync too!)

Several guys are pre ordering as their xmas present.

I would assume the sync will be more fine-tunable.  The NRG is a bit more proven too...oob the sync is more usuable on THS cause is at 4000.

I've been playing with the small companies for a while but I'm drooling for a hyper cell. Loved both my cell and mutant. I know it will be like my nano. Use once or twice a year. But I have to have it. I have really liked my defiant soul and I just bought a disturbed. Threw that tonight for first time and have to say I wish I would have bought it months ago!!

From my observations, Storm lately has been putting out pieces that "belly out sooner, where Roto has been longer, backend beasts.  Personally with a piece set up for earlier hook, once the head oil begins to vanish, my goose is fried.  So I am waiting rather impatiently for the Hyper Cell.  My Totally Defiant is great but seems to have issues with carry down.

I have a Mission X from Ebonite and a Rogue Cell both setup almost the same.  The Jason Couch trick drilling(pin up a bunch and mass bias strong!)

My Mission X is strong angular and great.  My Rogue Cell is to the point of humongous and angular and basically almost uncontrollable.

I am a rev dominant softer speed lefty.  My son a high speed two hander who can get behind the ball has one and has much the same opinion.  Just too angular and too much!  This is in comparison to his loved and long used Virtual Gravity.

In our house this year I have seen a lot of Syncs highly polished and they seem very similar to my Mission X.  Controllable and very smooth strong and angular.  (of course drillings changes on these strong assymetrics can be very dramatic).

It just for my style the Cell core seems to be the strongest I have ever used.

Most would love a Sync(I don't know anyone who doesn't), or a Mission X but if one goes with any Cell I would prefer to be a more up the back type of guy or speed dominant or at least weaken the mass bias to at least 5 inches from your PAP.

Regards,

Luckylefty
PS of course all these balls above love a shot with some head oil!

The Disturbed rolls really heavy and hits unbelieveable....The OB looked like chalk, so I took it to 3000(500/1000/2000/3000). It clears the heads, reads the midlane strong, then just keeps going....i was extremely impressed. Im bowling on brand new lanes with ICE oil and have fought carry down bad, even my Soul which makes its move later has struggled. The Disturbed starts earlier and literally laughed at the carry down. Everyone on my team was very impressed and two of us have Soul's which are great balls.

A Hyper Cell Pearl...now that would be a must have.  I have to think that the Nucleus Core is one of the best weight blocks that Utah ever came out with.

The cell pearl was a great one, but I want a hybrid virtual energy-esqe, then a critical type release after.
