I don't know if anyone else on the board was real familiar with the guy but Vance was a great person.  I first met him a few years back in Washington while he was bowling for Weber State and I was bowling for Utah and since that day I never had a negative interaction with him.  In addition to being a good bowler and a hell of a guy he could karoke like no one's business.  I think of all my memories of Vance those nights hearing him sing boy band power ballads are my favorite.   I went to the viewing this morning but was unable to stick around for the service but from the program it seemed that it would be nice.  Vance was a great guy and he will surely be missed.  As Lewis Black once said "The good die young...and pr**ks live for ever" which couldn't be more true.  My condolences to his family both here on the mainland and back in Hawaii.
