Please distract me
« on: February 22, 2008, 12:53:43 AM »
I am waiting and waiting to get my cell, and everyday its not at my door, somebody keep me entertained so I don't go stir crazy waiting! Or atleast tell me I won't like it anyway so I quit wanting it to be here SOOO bad.

Or suggest a drilling for me.  17mph, 350rpm, 5 3/8x0 pap, need it to be my "sorta oil ball".  By that I mean it doesn't have to be a super rolly oil eating hog.  I just want it to be at the ball capable of handling the most oil of anything I have.  I make the thing hook on my own, so I don't like super duper oil balls and I like a bit of recovery.

I'll Start with the suggestion from the big guy, Roger says: Layout, I would like to see you go with a 4 x 3 x 4 (pin to pap, mb to pap, pin buffer).

the rest of you say???

We have similar stats!I have 3 Cells, all with different layouts.2-1/2x5-1/2,5x3,and 6x5.I get the most use out of the 2-1/2x5-1/2,as it flares a little less than the 5x3.The 5x3 is my oiler. The 6x5 is real straight through the heads and very angular at the back.It is good when the lanes start to dry out and you have to move in.If you are only going to drill one,you should either go with the 5x3 or the 2-1/2x5-1/2,depending on how tight your house is.Oh by the way,my 5x3 has the 3" pin buffer. This is the best ball I have drilled in many years.

OK Crank here goes. The Cell is just another ball, it is not a world beater or anything extra special. This ball is not going to improve your scores or win you any money. As a matter of fact don't drill it, save your money it will only bring you heartbreak.

Hope that helped, of course none of it is true.

Yeah, great advice.

You just kept him occupied for 90 seconds.

So would that make the Cell the "semenal ball"?

Here's something that will help you relax about your CELL not coming yet.

Just think to yourself how awesome it would be to have the CELL in your hands right now!  Just think to yourself that someone is at a pro shop as I write this, punching up a CELL to roll min. after it's done being drilled!

Does this help you relax?

If not then how about this:  Just imagine that the UPS guy is a bowler and stole your CELL to use in his UPS employee league later tonight! lol

Too funny Chitown.  Some how I don't think that will distract him.  Maybe if I told him that I got the Gravity Shift & had it drilled up he can think about that instead of the UPS Guy rowling his ball down the lanes.

haha chitown, you are mean.  The gravity shift has absolutely no appeal to me, so have at that one.  For whoever asked its coming direct from roto.  I REALLY hope its not a UPS staff ball now.

I say if you don't post tilt and rotation, any suggestions can be .. ambiguous.

If you have average tilt and 45 degrees (average rotation), I'd go with 4"-4.5" pin, 2"-2.5" above the midline and 4.5" - 5" MB to PAP. If you don't have those unpoasted averages, all bets are off.

Based on personal experience, with road test review coming soon.

For some strange reason I had a Cell dropped off today. I was wondering why I got it.
